Here's the story

We refinanced our home back when almost everyone was also - we received a four night hotel stay at DD as part of a thank you from the company.

Now I can't find the dang certificates, documents etc.
and the company tells me that the certificate expires before
the Summer is over - I say it doesn't - but need to find the
dang thing : (

In the meantime - if it is lost and they don't honor it - how does
priceline work? We're looking for a DD hotel - Dolphin/Swan or one of the others along the drive - if we bid and we get a hotel we really don't want - we still have to take it right?? Can we ask for one of the DD hotels?

Thanks for all advice and confidential number of knocks : )

hi Shell,

Although I've not used Priceline yet, I can recommend the following web site as a good place to learn about it:

http://p071.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding

My advice is that you become thoroughly familiar with the hotels that pop up in certain zones, so that you can tailor your bids to exclude places that don't interest you. I have seen reports of folks getting the Dolphin, Swan, Gaylord Palms, and other swank places for less than $100 a night.

Of course I hope you find the paperwork you seek so that this becomes a moot point. Good luck!

Have you asked that they void the current certificate and issue a replacement? Certainly they have the number and a record or they would not know when it is to expire. Just a thought. I wish you a marvelous trip no mater which way it turns out. Good luck. :sun:

We learned through biddingfortravel and got a rate of $62/night for the Wyndham (the one across from DtD). It is awesome when folks end up with Swan/Dolphin (same category), but alas, after staying at W.G. we decided to stay at a Disney Value resort next time we are strapped (just not the same *magic*).

Best wishes!

good news
I did call back and ask for a replacement
it did expire in September
I explained that I thought it was December -
and how we planned the Disney trip etc.
and to give it to someone else since we can't use it : (
then they said they would reissue a new one and
make it through December!!!!!!!!
Zippppedy Dipppppedy : )
Thanks everyone
