Happy Memorial Day all!! :theWave:

I thought I was really, really late, but am the first to post today, so I am surprised. I hope you all are enjoying this day.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Pixie (and her family) and Snickerdoodlesmommy (Linda and her family) this morning at Krispy Kreme's. As you know, Linda lives only 3 minutes from me, but this was only the second time I was able to meet with Barbara. When you meet Barbara, she radiates beauty inside and out! And, Cosmic Amanda is just as adorable as I expected she would be. It was such a joy for me to meet with everyone today and if you ever have the chance to meet anyone, please do.

I'm really looking forward to doing the 1/2 marathon with Barbara his January, and it was so nice to meet her family also. I jsut know we will have a wonderful time then.

Terry and Keith ended up leaving the race yesterday after the first red flag for rain. He said there were warnings on the signs regarding the storm's and tornado warnings. Then, someone walked around telling the sections that they would not be able to get the track cleaned off in time and the race would probably be postponed until Monday (many of the folks left). So after much discussion between them, they decided it was best to get on the road and head for home.

And are we ever glad they did since they had a 7 hour drive ahead of them and they had very little sleep. Keith found someone's cell phone right next to our car, so he picked it up and called the home number on it. Apparently, the wife was home and her Dh lost the phone and his car keys at the race. Keith talked to the guy this morning (so he can return the phone to them), and the guy said he stayed to the end, but was sorry he did. He told Keith it was the worst weather he had ever driven in, so the guys were glad with their decision to get home. Even though they did not see the finish of the race, they had a great time with all the other things they got to do there.

So, my week has started of great, and I'm hoping the rest is as smooth and fun. Have a great week everyone! :circle:

:tink: Hi Sheryl :waving: and anyone else checking in. The weather has been glorious :sun: and warm. 8) The planes flying in formation overhead woke me this morning. I'm sure they were for a parade somewhere. I didn't go to bed until 2AM. My clock is all off. DH is working the graveyard shift. Hope he can find a day position.

I was horrible on Friday & Saturday. I ate almost an entire large bag of potato chips, Lays of course, by myself. DH had some, but I have to claim it. So, I guess I was right when I had them out of the house. DH got himself a bad of Doritos that week & they lasted the same week that the Lays used to & I ate some of them too. I just thought having those Lays out of the house would be good enough. Then, when it didn't keep me away from the Doritos I figured, we could get them, since we do make a bag last a week between the two of us. That was when I left the bag in the kitchen!!! I brought it up to our bedroom  on Friday night & now the bag is history. I guess we have to keep them away from me  or at least make me walk downstairs to the kitchen to get some in a tiny bowl, as I had been. :WILLpower:

Today I started with scrambed eggs (4) w/snow pea pods in it. That was dee-lish. Drinking my water. Never a problem. Gotta keep the junk to a minimum. I have found that if you eat all in moderation, you can continue to eat all.

Have a nice holiday weekend all. :tink:

Hey Sher! We made it home safely even though the driving was quite bad until Albany. What Sheryl didn't tell you (she's much too nice) is that they waited in KK for over an hour because we got tied up crossing from Canada back into this country.

I loved meeting both families. I knew I loved Sheryl and Snickerdoodlesmommy is so friendly I felt like I already knew her. Their DH's are awesome and Terry is just as Sheryl described him. He's handsome and very laid back. We are going to have such a great time in January, I only wish Snickerdoodlesmommy and family were going to be there.

I must tell you what well behaved children they both have. It must have been very boring for them to wait for us to get there. The first one I met was Snickerdoodles adorable daughter who greeted me with a big smile and "hi." Be proud ladies!

This weekend was a diet disaster for me! I did get plenty of exercise so all was not lost.

The party is over, it's time to get serious. See you in the morning!

How nice of you to say Pixie! It was a pleasure to finally meet you and Amanda as well!
(I don't think it was necessary however for you and Sheryl to blab to everyone we were at Krispy Kremes ) Just in case anyone here is reading this, I thought we should have met at the health food store!
I'm sorry I will not be able to see you and Sheryl cross that finish line in January, however I will be thinking about you both while lounging on the beach in Maui!
