Good Morning, All!

Today's quote:

A Native American elder once described his own inner struggles in this manner: Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time. When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied, The one I feed the most.

I read this and thought of the mean dog as my cravings for carbs, sugar and chocolate. Guess I'd better feed my "healthy food" dog :)

Goals for the day
Drink water
eat healthy all day
go for a walk after work

My dh is gone to Indiana for a week. We went grocery shopping last night and I bought all healthy food.

THEN he needed a box of donuts for the road, so we went by Krispy Kreme. I put my dozen in the freezer, so they won't be so easy to get at!

I would REALLY like to get off this plateau while he's gone. Guess the key is to want to get off the plateau more than I want a donut!

Happy Day, All! Let's ROCK![/quote]

Good Morning Healthinators!!

I'm at school this morning ( a half day) so I better get busy and post before the kidlets arrive!! THis is a class I have subbed for several times and like the kids! Dh didn't make it back last night so Becky is picking him up at the airport this morning!
Ursulinda- It's nice to have company here in Indiana- is he coming for the race?? Sheryls DH will be here this weekend also!
Pixie- I hav eto admit Krispie Kremes don't facinate me unless I can get them hot form the shop and the Krispie Kreme place is to far away to be much of a threat!!
Goals for today:
Run 3-4 miles
Eat smart
no snackage
Smile at everyone
Enjoy the day

Have a great day!!

Hi all,

Yes it is a Thankful Thursday - thankful, because I'm going to WDW tonight! I've come to far to totally blow it there this weekend though. I may have a few things off my plan, but for the most part I decided to be true to myself and keep on keeping on.

Luckily Krispy Kremes have never been a big thing with me either unless they are fresh and hot. And even then I could go for a long time without feeling the need to have one.

Goals:
Keep focused - especially this weekend - really evaluate what I'm going to eat, and don't just eat it because I'm at WDW, and make sure what I choose is really, really, really worth it.

Good Morning All!

It's a beautiful day here except for the drone of the cicadas in the woods near my home. It's been 3 weeks of this constant noise and it's mind numbing. :x

DH surprised me yesterday with a early gift for our 21st anniversary which is Saturday. A weekend trip to West Virigina is in our future. We leave Friday and return Sunday. Well, it's not WDW but it is a trip away. We haven't been away since DH's eye problems last year at WDW. I hope he'll be alright with the drive. It would surprise me if he will defer to my driving that long a distance.

Todays' Goals:

Drink 64 oz of water - did very well yesterday - 72 oz
Eat healthy on SBD - only alright . I just can't quite make it 100% but I keep trying.

Have a magical day!

Sandy

PS

I heard that KK stock has droped. With everyone low carbing now, sales are down. DH said in his office, a box lingered all day yesterday. Just a couple of months ago they would have been gone in 10 minutes. Maybe they'll invent a low carb donut -

Hi all!

I've been a bad Bianca :( Not only have I not been checking in but I've been eating poorly and only exercising about half of what I should.

So I'm here to be thankful for all of you and for another chance!

I continue to v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y fill the requirements for my surgery. I have yet to see any of the medical records I've requested. I am about to go and shake somebody!!!

So, just for today I will practice patience. And I've already been out walking. And I'll do something again :D Yeah! That's it--a second chance.

I had Krispy Kremes once. I have to admit they're pretty good hot but Ursulinda, after putting them in your freezer they're just sweet doughballs. Not worth it! Come, let's talk a virtual walk together!

I think KK's stock is low because they're way over expanded. They're a destination food where there's only 10 stores. When there's one on every block, they don't do as much business. Duh!!!

:tink: I too can pass on the Krispy Kremes. Especially tonight....they're in the same mall area where Marshall's is & I got two pair of pants tonight. One is a....drum roll please....Tagrel, we need a drum, drumming for this... :D .....size 6 petite  and one was a size 8 petite! :bounce: Yea!!!! I could only find one size 8 shorts & it was too big & inside it was sewn in that it's a size 10, so no buy, but not unhappy about that.

So, needless to say, it's easy to pass on the Krispy Kremes tonight. I did eat Japanese food tonight & a big helping. That was dee-lish! I wouldn't weigh myself after soy sauce though.

I did have to buy a couple pair of pants for interviewing for jobs. I only have scrubs, jeans & one suit & one skirt. I might not even be doing nursing. I would love a job in a cubicle to call my own. People make fun of themselve & others that have that, but I did it once for a two month period & loved it. The day flew by also. Anyone in a cubicle that loves it?
