What time are you usually rolling out of bed to start your Disney day? Do you get wake up calls? Set an alarm? Wake early out of pure excitement?

Usually I'm the first to wake up at around 5AM. It gives me the chance to shower, dress and be ready to do the 6AM coffee run to the food courts while everyone else is either getting up or dressing.

Waking up would imply sleeping on vacation at all!

Well, if I HAVE to sleep, I typically wake up by 5:30 - 6am. then I have to go be quiet until its time for everyone else to get up! When did you THINK I was able to type those live trip reports! ;)

I almost forgot ALL about those trip reports Tag. They were awesome man!!

Anyway, I am up at 5am also. Oddly enough, we never go to early entry days. Jenine likes to sleep in. SO I usually swim or sit in the hot tub. Man I love Disneys pool hours  If not, I go to the parks by myself. Then I head back around 10 or so and get Jenine. She is one of the those people who actually like to SLEEEP on vacation. Not me. I am out in the pool and tubs till 2am or later sometimes and still get up early. I can sleep at home dude!!

I have trouble sleeping in a strange bed. I toss and turn all night, then I'm kinda wiped in the morning. DH is the same as you other guys. He gets up really early and tiptoes out for coffee and cereal for the kids.

But groggy or not, I'm the cheerleader who gets everyone up and out of the room to get to the parks at an early hour.

I'm looking forward to getting a real good sleep in the Heavely Sleep bed at the Swan this summer! There'll be no stopping me then.

I grumply rollover http://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/arrogant.gifand say "why did we decide to set the alarm?" The time zone differences make a huge impact on me the first few days so getting up before 9 am ET is like getting up for work in my time zone. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/l0/sleeping.gif NOT a vacation thing I like!

If I just have to be somewhere like a really early breakfast PS then I will set the alarm and stumble out of bed - muttering under my breath the whole time "This is the happiest place on earth" Early mornings are not my best time of the day - now if they will just keep those parks open till midnight or later I would be in great shape!

We never use alarms but my husband and me are naturally early risers, Its not uncommon to wake by 6ish naturally. When we go to a lot of late night stuff we find ourselves sleeping in. until 7:-)

8am - no earlier. I am NOT getting up at the crack of dawn on vacation - no way! Early entry is not a benefit to me  But, extra night hours are a beautiful thing 8)

We tend to be night owls on vacation and sleep in. I also do not find it easy to get going in the morning, so we usually sleep in till 8:30 - 9:00, shower get dressed and leave by 10:30. But, you will find us in the swimming pool very late at night. And don't forget, we are lazy butt tourist.

EArly riser here- I'm usually up by 4 am at home and the first couple of mornings at WDW is the same. As the exercise and lateness of hours start to work their magic- I've been known to sleep almost until the MIckey wake up call at 5:55. I've always been the first up! I like to read and will bring several books and a flash light to read while others sleep! (I may have to bring my own coffee maker for Pop Century since from what I understand all the rooms don't have one- gotta hve coffee before 6 am!!)

I'm with you Tag, up between 5:30 and 6:00, then have to be oh so quiet so as not to disturb the girls. Usually get the coffee going, then go read on the veranda/deck/patio depending on what DVC resort we are enjoying. Getting the live trip reports done was a kick on this last trip and I may continue that in the future.

All you morning people? Go away and let me sleep. :deepSleep:

Occasionally I get up early. For me that means 8:00 :) You do realize that's 5:00 am my time, right?

Well, I am not a morning person AT ALL, but on vacation we always get a wakeup call for between 6 and 6:30. Morning people or not, the Commando Family is always at the park before the gates open and we stay til they kick us out (and then spend the first week at home after our vacation wondering why we are soooo darn tired!)
