Good Morning all!

Sorry to have missed yesterday. It was "clean Sweep" day at work and boy! Did we ever! All the Chemistry groups are moving into the new wing in a few months so we had to de-junk our labs. It was like a big yard sale - they had food all day in "sweep central" and the halls are filled with stuff, some of which has been obsolete for years.

Today's quote In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.
Paul Harvey

Today I will undo the damage from yesterday by
core exercises (done)
choosing to eat healthy
drink my water
remember memory pills

LAST chemistry class this afternoon. Thank GOODNESS!

Good Journey, Esmerelda and Elayna! Wishing you calm winds, no rain, reasonable traffic and a great time at your destination!

I have a 'never worn' but no tags size 24 bathing suit, black with small white flowers. Hate to just toss it in the Salvation army box. If you would like to have it, pm me and i'll send it off to you. First pm gets it.

Happy Day, All. Let's ROCK!

Morning all! :theWave:

We're off and running again this morning. Was a bit of a struggle getting Zach dressed, the poor kids has outgrown most of his shorts that fit him at Easter...looks like more shopping for Mom!

Trying to book a room for Hershey, hope to have one tonight.

Ursulinda thanks for the offer for the suit, it sounds pretty. You know I'm having a terrible time finding a suit..need a 18 for the bottom half and a 24 or 26 for the top. . One pieces are just not working and the problem with the tankini's is the 24/26 tops are too wide around my waist. Can you see me going down the waterslide at Stormalong Bay  . Good lord, those folks will get an eyefull!

Todays goals:
drink water
make healthy choices
get things done around ehre

Hope you all have a great day! :circle:

Sheryl, I know (live) that same problem. I bought a tankini and took in the bottoms so they don't fall off.

Today's Goal:
Drink 64 oz of water
Eat healthy on SBD

Have a magical day!

Morning BABES:

How's your day going? Hope it's all that you want it to be!!!

Got up at 2:45 a.m. but managed to get back to sleep. Got up again at 6:30 a.m. when I heard DH getting ready for golf. Why is it that when I plan a trip for the day, he can't drag himself out of bed but when he has a chance to play golf...................well you know the story............he's up at the crack of dawn waiting to get picked up holding his golf bag!!!

Anyhow, I am in a "Clean Sweep" mood myself today. I'm down here by computer throwing out all the emails and notes I print out as I read them and then can't decide where to put them. I have to move an accordian file next to computer and divide it up by church stuff, Tagrel stuff, Disney Trip stuff, Family stuff, Neighborhood stuff, etc. etc. etc.

I have one load of laundry washed and folded, one in and some towels to do.

Goals:
Get rid of ADMINISTRIVIA (the topic of an oral presentation I had to give to the class when I went to college nights at age 40+)
Finish laundry (As if that's ever possible!)
DRINK WATER
Maybe get to gym alone or walk alone around loop if it stops raining
(just noticed we have on/off again showers)
Start on nametags for Herhsey meet
Finish plans for trip to NY and wedding and visiting

Having an old old old friend from high school arriving on Saturday and staying overnight. She wasn't one of my favorite girlfriends in our sorority due to her always having to be facing a mirror wherever she was (know the type?). Anyhow we've kept up our correspondence for LOTS of years and we were better friends through letters. She lived in Texas for about 30+ years and they sold their house when they retired from teaching and bought a 50 foot travel home and have traveled around the USA for the last few years. They have property near her mother in Arkansas but just built a home in New Mexico and travel from Texas to visit their daughter, to Arkansas to see mother and to New Mexico to home. Anyhow, she will be flying in with her mother to attend nephew's graduation and is making a separate trip here alone. SO, I've been cleaning and sprucing up the house. I think I wrote before that this will be our new Guest Suite's first guest (virgin guest!). Hoping for good weather to drive her around to sightsee and then she'll attend church with me Sunday and head on to MD.

That will keep me occupied the rest of this week.

Have a great day all!!!!!! Keep smiling!

Hi, all! Look! I'm here early!

I've already had blood drawn this morning for a big batch of labs. The other things on my to-do list for my WLS are:
* fill out psych forms and mail them
* contact gastroenterologist for records of upper and lower GI and ulcers/hospitalization.
* find out about water aerobics classes at the pool where I had PT (it would help if I could remember the name of the pool, Ursulinda do you have any extra memory pills?)

And all the usual--
* Continue to eat less than I burn, I'm doing well at that
* Try for 20 minutes of walking or dancing today
* Water, water, water (I need a new carry-with-me water bottle, I don't like the Brita ones :( )

And smile in gratitude for all the terrific folks here!

:tink: Morning Healthinators :D

Just woke up. :deepSleep: I did get some good sleep, but couldn't fall asleep until 2AM to 8 AM w/o interference, then a couple more after that. I woke when I heard DH speaking w/a Human Resources department on his cell phone. He did get the job,(they had a drug screening a couple of weeks ago), and never called. So, he called yesterday & the head of HR leaves everyday at 3PM. He likes her hours. He did get the job at, Sheryl I think you should sit down for this: TARGET. He's going to work the graveyard shift (I'll probably sleep better though), and he starts on Thursday morninig for orientation. He's very excited about it, as he spent 22 years at Milton Bradley doing shipping & receiving on a forklift. Anyway, he'll be doing the stocking of the shelves so they're all ready for us Sheryl. :D The down side is that it's only a guarenteed for 20 hours a week. He'll get 20-40 hours a week. That part is up in the air. He's still looking for a job until he has 40 hours guarenteed. He'll do anything.

Goals: :D

Water in :D

Eat smart, haven't had anything today yet. :D

Do test drive to tomorrow's job interview, never got to anything yesterday because I was so off the entire day myself.

Try to get excited about getting out & interviewing. I have to say that I've lost some enthusiasm as Jennyanne did on her way to her job she secured. Sometimes it's hard to get excited about it. Put on a happy face when you're not really happy. I will be able to tomorrow though as that place I'm very interested in, a weight loss type of medical place & has room for advancement & I know I'd be very good at it. The money isn't great & it doesn't matter how many years experience you have as a nurse, as they don't consider it as high stress as other  nursing. Well, that 's what they said to me when I spoke w/them. I don't like that attitude though. I actually had a patient when I was doing office nursing, that had been & was married to a retired MD. When I brought her in for her first vist she actually said to me, "this is such an easy job isn't it?" I said, "we are here from 7AM to 7PM so that it looks that way to you." Peope don't have any idea how much work it takes to make it look as though it's "easy". So, I don't know if this job is actually like working in an internal medicine doc's office or really is easier. If it is easier, then they're right paying what they do. It's still more than I made in WA.

Sorry about the rambling on......have a nice day everyone. :D :tink:

Good Afternoon Healthinators!!
I had the perfect job today- half a day for a teacher that travels between schools (someone else had the second half of his day). I had 2 classes (health) and they both had open book tests to take 40 min each class I was contacted for 8:10-12:00 and walked out of the building and was home by 10:30. (I did ask at the offic if they had any extra work for me to do). Called Co-leader and volunteered to help er run for goodies and awards for GS Awards tonight. It' s raining off and on here so I may not get a run in (again). Eating is good thought.

Goals:
Run today
Water
Smart eating
no snacks
laundry
start to try to shovel out my house (the switch isn't going as well as I hoped!!)

Updates for me during the week are rather boring. I work from 7 am until 6 pm at a minimum. It's really busy right now. Got home not long ago. Supper is in the oven. Am snacking on my salad right now.

Still doing well on eating less than I burn. That's really easy for me for now. Going for a walk later tonight. More chat time with DH. That's a good thing. I turn 30 in 12 days. I'm hoping to lose another 3-4 pounds by then :-)

Bookwood -- Glad your day was good. Always nice to have a good day at work. Hope you get your run in today.

Tink -- good luck on the job front. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

Miss Bianca -- You are doing great! I took water aerobics while I was in law school. I loved it. If you do take it, let us know how you like it.

Cinderella -- WOW. How do you get it all done? I am always impressed.

Twirler -- Don't you love taking "IN" clothes rather than squeezing in them? Life is good.

Sheryl -- You are too funny. I have this visual of Stormalong Bay now :-)

Pixie -- With respect to walking -- are you using a pedometer? Do you think it helps?

Ursulinda -- way to go in getting to slim for your bathing suit. Way to go!

Talk to you all tomorrow!
