Silly question

Ok, I'm staying at BWV on rented points in 2 weeks. I'm soooooooo excited!!! (You are a Godsend my friend :hug: ) My question is this: What is the possiblity of getting upgraded to a 1 bedroom? Is that something I can pay cash for at checkin? Can you even do that if you are on points?

I would love to stay in a 1 bedroom since we are considering buying into DVC to get the full idea of what it is all about. But, at the same time, I don't want to look stupid at the front desk.

Yes, you can get upgraded for cash if a room is available. We did this at HH about 2 years ago. Ask the person you are renting points from to call and check on availability for the 1 br and the cost.
MS will be glad to get that info for you.

You can always ask, but upgrades are VERY few and far between for DVC units. Paying for an upgrade is possible, but I'm not sure how that would go with the points you are already using. They typically keep point reservations separate from cash reservations... I'd like to know how this works myself if they can do it.

As another option, just make sure to take the tour while you are there. Just touring the one bedroom units sold Kristen when we bought! Pointing out the in room Jacuzzi tub, full kitchen, washer/dryer and PRIVATE MASTER BEDROOM was a sure fire winning combination! :mrgreen:

You are so right Tag, the 1 BR is ALWAYS so difficult to turn down in favor of more trips and staying in a studio. The studios are great ,but the 1 BR are inspiring........... inspiring enought to make we spend hard earned money !

LOL, we talked a good game at the beginning - "We'll stay in a Studio to stretch our points... It will be fine!" But we stayed in a one bedroom first and that was ALL she wrote! The Studio is great for just two of us, but that one bedroom for a family is the BEST! You are just instantly spoiled. :)
