NOT a meet, just information here about special F&W dining events.
These are crazy expen$ive!! Guessing only a very small group would be interested if any at all.
Still it's something that could be looked at, maybe a very small group of $pendthrift$ would like to try one together. They often sell out really fast.
Update: 2009 festival guide newly available here: (pdf format)

Don't know what they are demoing at the event but here is a sampling from a recent dessert menu from their restaurant.
No, I don't know what they are talking about either but I'm sure it's yummy:
1) gateau saint nizier Mango-chili relish, valrhona chocolate nibs, lime foam and coconut milk sorbet
2) Tellicherry pepper panna cotta, lemon verbena sherbert and chilled silverado trail strawberry sorbet
3) ballon de chocolate fume, smoked black tea(?), glace a la vanille and tonka bean caramel
4) Fresh ricotta and cherry sfogliatelle with sicilian pistachio genoise and bing cherry sorbet.
There's a special Sunday lunch at Bistro de Paris but it Conflicts with Capture the Magic.
Cheaper alternative: There's 3 cooking demos a day, includes a tasting portion with a glass of wine, $8. 1pm, 2:45pm, 4:30pm.

Mmmmm, I am all over the cheese event, and possibly the grand tasting, although I have no idea who Taylor Dane is.

I got my Party for the Senses reservations yesterday! Thanks Suzy!
This will be my 5th (?) party....and I have loved it every time. The new idea of having a themed evening, in this case Asian, makes it fresh. I am looking forward to hearing about the entertainment...it is just a darn good time. And if you get there early enough, you can grab a nice table and just relax, eat and drink to your heart's content!

I tried to book the culinary experience at The Wave for Thursday but they were sold out. :( I shouldn't have tried to book the day after reservations opened. Sigh
