AP rate question

I was just wondering what happens if your travel dates fall during and AFTER the AP discounted rates days that are released?

Like now, I think the rate discounts run through 8/28(?)
What if your vacation starts 8/27 and runs through 9/4? Or something like that.......
Do you have to wait until the next set of AP rates come out to switch your other part, or do they carry the rate over through the whole vacation (like I think they used to do with seasonal rates)?
Just wondering in case it ever happens to me.

Actually, I think Disney will let you use the 8/28 rate through your entire stay, but I'm not sure how availability works. I read that some people are doing just this. Hitting the end of the AP rate window, but staying longer and keeping the AP rate for the entire stay. I'd call and price a stay and see what they come up with.

I echo what Tagrel said, they will let you carry your AP rate over the end of the period as long as you start it in the window. Do give them a call and double check that they are still doing this, only CRO knows for sure :shrug:

We have done that a couple of times. I believe as long as you check in before the exp date, then it carries all the way through. Similarly, if your dates fall just prior to the start date, you would have to make 2 ressies if you wanted the discount, because your check-in day rate would also carry though and be at the higher rate. Unless it has changed... which is always a possibility :?

Everyone is correct.
This happened to us during our Christmas stay at WL last year. We checked in the last day of the discount and it was good for our entire stay (11 days) :mickeyXmas:

Hey T-Bell - we did the exact same thing! Checked in at WL Dec 19th and stayed 11 days! :)
