Hello all...
It is Saturday...I hope we can all take a minute to do something nice for ourselves. I am going to try and find the time to do so. I am having lunch with my mom, sister, grandma, and all my aunts this afternoon. Actually I guess it's kind of a lunch/dinner combo because it's at 3:30. Anyway, I am afraid that my mom is going to have a very hard time, so I hope she is able to enjoy it at least a little.
I am busy finishing her Mother's Day gift today, and I am going to stop and pick up a couple vacation things for myself along the way. I also need to plan the menu for tomorrow and get some of the things I need to cook. I think we are going to grill BBQ chicked (dad is taking care of that part) and then we will have a variety of salads (potato, fruit, etc.)
Goals:
1. Finish Mother's Day gift
2. Grocery shop
3. Clean a little?
4. Water
5. Healthy eating
I hope you all have a great day!!

Today's a busy day. Taking my mom out for lunch. I'm thinking of taking her to Famous Dave's Barbeque since I'm not a meat eater. It should be easy for me to be good there :-)
I need to mow the yard. That will be plenty of exercise. Also, I think I'll drag out Leia's slip and slide so she can play outside some.
Would love to get in a run, but I think that is over ambitious.
Need to do laundry and dishes. Should go to the grocery to get healthy food.
Hope all of you have a wonderfuld ay planned.

Congratulations Ali!!
JennyAnne, I did spoil myself today. I HATE to shop but went shopping and bought me two outfits, a purse, 3 pair of shoes(Now I have 5 total pair, lol), a pair of shorts and some new socks. I think I have doubled my wardrobe now. I'm going to let my daughter try on the shoes and get her some if they fit because I'm tired of her borrowing my shoes!
Leias Mom, I do not eat red meat but love seafood and chicken. Are you a strict vegetarian? I was for two years as a teenager, but don't have the willpower anymore.
Going shopping was very sobering today-I have gained SO much weight-probably 40 lbs or so after losing 80 last year. I am starting induction tomorrow and WILL start exercising.
Joining curves June 1st.
My goals for today are
1. Drink water.
2. Love myself even though I've totally screwed up and gained a ton of weight.
3. Make grocery list for induction.
4. Get all my appraisal work done today so I can have a day off tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone!

It's a lovely day and I've already been spoiled by sleeping late and having breakfast in bed.
AliKat, Dean's list! Wow!!! I'm so impressed! You've really earned that trip!
Esmerelda, isn't it just unfair how much more easily those sneaky pounds come back than they left? So glad you're loving your lovely self anyway :)
Time to get at it! Day 2 of the new exercise program. I managed to get in two 10-minute walks yesterday.
Exercise plan:
1. Turn up the stereo and dance to my favorites for 10 minutes this afternoon.
2. Go to the pool with Bernard this evening. Walk in the water for 30 minutes.
Eating plan: The usual:
1. Consume less than I burn.
2. Water, water, water!
Preparedness plan:
1. Plan 1 weeks worth of menus with Bernard.
2. Figure out how to get tunes off CDs and onto my portable device (a Palm PDA with sound)
3. Set up 30 minutes of walking music on my Palm :)
Whew!

Esmerelda, I'm not a philosophical vegetarian -- I just generally don't like meat. Probably comes from being forced to eat it as a child. I don't eat seafood, chicken, or other kinds of meat (with the rare exception of a little bit of ground beef -- for example, I will occassionally eat chili). It did help at lunch. While my family ate ribs, I had a small garden salad. I even managed to forego dessert (even though mom had bread pudding -- yum).
Miss Bianca, your plan is fantastic. Walking in the water is a wonderful idea. The resistance will give you a great workout but you won't be hot and sweaty -- it's darn hot here.

Yo BABES:
I'm here! Good afternoon - uh - make that EVENING! Glad to see so many of you pampering yourselves a bit today. Why not?
What did I do?? Well, we worked on the Bird Island all day (just finished now-5:30-and now I have to cook dinner. We watered and put down some mulch (the leftover mulch was dark brown and the new mulch is lighter brown so we have to get more lighter brown). Put in the new bird feeder pole which will hold three feeders. Put the old pole on the other side of the Island and think I'll take out the hummingbird feeder and put it on one hook and put a nice big bright red plant on the other hook to attract the hummingbird. The birdbath is leveled and full. Need more birdseed though. Couldn't find a stone bench I wanted to put in the Island so that's another day of shopping. Soaked my Birkenstocks so hopefully they'll dry in the sun.
Might go back to Walmart next week and get the Pooh garden statue to match my Mickey statue out front.
It's starting to come together. That's about the end of this year's plantings. Just need some foundation plants along one side of the house to hide the gas meter and a/c unit (some grasses and hostas). We put some small grasses along the bottom of the birdbath too.
I am aching. Yesterday I did too much and really felt it last night. I swore I would take it easy today but I really had to push DH to get going and wanted that Island finished.
I ate cereal for breakfast and juice and had a sandwich for lunch. Think we'll have pasta for dinner and a big salad. No walk today- unless DH wants to carry me around on his back!!!
AliKat: YOU DONE GOOD!!! Dean's List - very impressive!
JennyAnne: Hope you enjoyed your lunch today with the "girls".
Leias Mom: If you and I got together we could rent ourselves out as the Dynamic Duo. You get more done then I do in one day!!!
Esmerelda: Great shopping trip! I need to go but don't want to until I'm thin (my old clothes will be dust by that time!!!)
Miss B: Keep up the good work - you're doing great!
Everyone else: Have a DISNEYTASTIC Mother's Day tomorrow (includes mothers/grandmothers/Godmothers/Stepmothers/aunts/cousins/sisters/
wives/pet owners/foster mothers/school teachers/Sunday school teachers/
nurses/female doctors/working women etc. etc. etc. etc.

Good evening everyone. Today has not been as productive as I would have liked - I cleaned out my bedroom and closet, itemized four boxes of clothes to go to Goodwill and took it to Goodwill. I did not workout today - however, I am committed to a 3-4 mile run/walk on the treadmill at the base tomorrow morning after 9am (when they open). I want to come home from the gym, finish cleaning the 2nd bedroom and clean the carpets in there. I need to do some shopping for kitty food and people food.

Good Evening All!
AliKat, GREAT JOB making deans list - it is NOT easy!
Esmerelda, I'm proud of you for going shopping and facing the mirror. Gaining some weight does NOT make you any less lovable, so i'm glad you still love yourself!
Cinderella, wish I could share plants with you. I have so many kinds of hosta, astilbe, and other shade loving stuff. I cannot wait to see a picture of your island!
MissB good job on the exercise - keep it moving!
I did my core exercises this morning, and then went to work. Had lunch with a friend who supported me through my "crisis" and now is in need of same. Went back to work and then the scrapbook store and grocery store. The last finished me! I had to lie on the couch before i had the strength to get dinner, although it was only leftovers. Sometimes I envy you young girls with all your energy! and once again, I vow to do better tomorrow! Good night, all!
