I'm writing fast BABES as I always find out someone is posting the same time I am.

Fast note:

Got up at 5:30 a.m. to the sound of bulldozers moving dirt behind us again. They are not supposed to start until 7:00 a.m. (Yeah, right!). There are about 25 more homes due to go up on the road behind our house so I'd better get used to that beep-beeping noise the trucks make when they back up.

Anyhow, company stayed late so we got to sleep late. Food turned out great. They brought us a box of candy but I did not open it (wasn't Godiva so that helps!)
While they were here and we were eating, our friendly Mennonite couple popped in to plant our trees in Alcatraz Island (bird island) out back - so much going on at once. The birds were already flying around checking out the new plants full of berries for them. Have to buy a pretty bench for the garden and get more permanent poles for the cedar birdfeeders.

It looks great. I have to buy some more bulbs and anuals when I can get to the store have to order mulch and we're finished. Will take pics when all done.

Had juice and cereal and catching up on posts. Didn't eat much last night as I don't eat after I've cooked all day. Was on my feet cooking and cleaning all day so no walk around block but got plenty of exercise.

Thunderstorms due here in PA all week per weather.com so that's good for the garden.

Have a great day. Keep up the great work!!!! We are women!!!! We can do it!!!!

Fabulous Friday indeed! :theWave:

The sun is shining, it's a payday, and I'm looking forward to a great weekend.

Met all the goals yesterday except the walking, but I danced while I scrapbooked. Not a pretty sight  but it was excercise.

Todays goals:
drink water (at least 72 oz)
make healthy choices
organize something
enjoy the sun and my family

Claire, will you post a pic of your Isalnd? We have alot of yard work to do, but I really don't enjoy doing it and ter has been so busy working, I might have to do some. :confused2:

Hope you all have a wonderful day! :circle:

Cinderella, I'm glad the dinner was such a success!

Sheryl, You amaze me-I can't dance OR scrapbook-much less at the same time! I am actually going to do one of my most hated chores and your most favorite. I've got to go shopping and buy at least one outfit for our upcoming trip, unless I want to wash every other day on this vacation! I'm going to the bookstore too-but that is shopping I LOVE. I also hope to get all our snacks and pack them while my daughter is at a friend's house-she would have them all devoured before our trip if she knew they were in the house. Ye Gads! That is THREE places I have to shop this weekend. I better put my stepometer on-maybe I can get some miles in.

Tinkerbell, don't forget to update us on the interview!

Ursulinda, where is our quote-I miss it when you post late.

My goals are to

1. Eat sensibly
2. Drink, drink, drink! (water of course)
3. Make the hours today count. Either work late, or do some major cleaning at home.
4. Possibly, maybe, visit Curves today?

Have a great Friday everyone!

Good Morning All!

The sun is shining here in New York, too.

My heart is filled with gratitude and love.

A FRIEND.......

Accepts you as you are
Believes in you always
Calls you just to say “hello”
Doesn’t give up on you ever
Envisions the whole of you
Forgives your mistakes
Gives unconditionally
Helps you when you need it
Is always there for you
Just likes being with you
Keep you close at heart
Loves you for who you are
Makes a difference in your heart
Never judges you
Offers support
Picks you up when you are down
Quiets your fears
Say nice things about you
Tells you what you need to hear
Understands you
Values you
Walks beside you
X-plains the things you don’t understand
Yells when you won’t listen
Zaps you back to reality

Good Afternoon Healthinators,
I am wasting time at school as this is the teachers plan period and I have nothing to plan. We got the trailer yesterday and I will run to BMV to switch license plate as soon as I get out of school.
We had a real good storm come through between 9 and 10 this morning (my classroom can see out the front of the building) lights flickered and kids were already figuring on gettin out early then the weather cleared- drat!!
Tinkerbelle- I too am intrested to hear how you interview went yesterday.
Claire-you tire me out with all you do- after reading your posts I need a nap
Sheryl- dancing and scrapbooking- I'd like to see that!!
Esmerelda - running errands and shopping aren't the same thing- shopping is when you have a general idea of what you want and take a long time to find it (an maybe lots of other things besides) running errands is when you run in and out of several stores looking for 1-2 things at each. Shopping for me is fun- errands are work!!

Goals for today:
BMV to switch plate
errands (have to stop at Curves to get back my pedometer- hopefully while there I'll have time to work out)
pick up something for supper quick and easy
Curves
Be ready to head to BSU by 5pm to pick up Becky
Eat smart- (do the nachos with chili and cheese I had for lunch count?)

Make it a Magical Day all!!

Today is going well. Still being sensible. Came home for lunch today (ate grape nuts -- not my favorite, but I never get enough fiber). Coworkers were heading to Wendys. Wonder how long I can keep this up. . .

Slimfast calculator says that I can lose another 6 pounds before my birthday (I'll be 30 on the 30th). That's a good short term goal. Then, maybe my next goal will be the 4th of July. Long term, I still want to lose 25 or so pounds before the cruise. Don't know if that is realistic, but it is a happy thought.

Hoping to go for a run tonight. If I can't get away from the kids for that long, I'll just let Leia ride her bike and carry Talia in the sling. I WILL exercise (I think I can I think I can I think I can).

Sounds like you are all doing wonderfully. Keep it up! You are such motivation for me.

Hi everyone!

I am quickly checking in while I am home from lunch. I really like being able to get out of the building for an hour for a change of scenery. The job is going well...I am just getting used to policies, procedures, etc. They do everything really tight and by the book which is great, but there are plenty of opportunities for me to screw up! Just trying hard to learn everything that I need to know.

As I said before, I have a lot going on this weekend and I feel that as our trip gets closer, I get busier. I have much to do and not much time to do it in. No specific goals for today...I know in my mind that I have a great deal to do; I am just going to try to make as much progress as possible.

Hope you are all having a great day...hope to check in a bit better tonight so I can really go back and read all your posts!

Have a great day!

Hi all, I'm back from all my travels - Baltimouse, North Baltimouse (NJ) and Boston.

I did great in Baltimore and stuck to my plan. After dinner when everyone was getting ice cream, fudge or whatever I got a sugar free lemonade.

However, when I got to Boston on Monday I did not stick to my plan. Well I did sometimes but not nearly as good as I should have. And then I went to the North End (Italian section) and went into a bakery - well that really did me in. It definitely was much easier to be bad when I wasn't paying for it. Although I don't know why that should matter. Hopefully I did enough walking to mostly balance it. I'm back now and hopefully will have no trouble getting back on track.

:tink: Rosebud, if anyone can do Italian & pasities it''s Boston & New York & surrounding areas. That was too much for anyone!

I called that SNF back today as I hadn't heard from them by 10AM & I left a voice mail for the administrator saying that "I would not be arriving for any job on Monday as planned, as nobody has bothered to call me back regarding this issue." I also said that "I cannot walk into a place not knowing what job THEY are expecting me for." I don't want to give them the opportunity to do a bait & switch once I'm there. I do not want to get locked into any job that will not even let me persue someplace esle that's a bit more organized. I'm not impressed at all w/the less than organized manner this has been happening & everyone knows that it's always worse once you're in the door.

Bottom line is that DH had to part w/an Eric Clapton Stratocaster & a Custom Les Paul guitars to pay for June's rent as it is. So, it gives me some breathing room. A relief, but I hate that he has to selll anything. Music is his passion, well, besides me :dazzle:

"Our" interviews went well yesterday on the other front. The details are in the personal section.

Have gotten my water in, plus some, the IBS is working up & it's not the constipation type  I know that it's just nerves. Things will settle down shortly.

Eat Smart, love that one!

Continue drinking, as the medication I take for IBS dries everything out. Your eyes, lips, everything. That's one reason I hate to take it. Have to replenish with h2o. :D

Ursulinda, absolutely love that quote, copied to my word documents. That & the one the same day you posted about Abe Lincoln are my favorites. Thanks.

Have a nice day everyone & to those we don't see over the weekend, have a nice one. An extra  to our friend ronski. I'm thinking of you. :tink:
