I want to know everything and anything you have to share. We'll be spending 2 nights in a studio the first week in June. I'm hoping it will put the DVC bug in my hubby's ear!

I love the studios at BWV. Just got back from one actually. Be careful about location, ours was right above the walk-thru to Luna Park and people would be very noisy when we were trying to get Meagan to sleep. :( The studio has a small fridge, a toaster, a microwave and a coffeemaker. You'll also get a supply of coffee packs, plasticware, paper plates/bowl and glasses. If you are staying on points you will not have any maid service - if you have a cash ressie the housekeepers will come by daily.

Keep in mind that it can be quite a long walk to your room but sometimes the long walk can be worth it for a great view. Then again, for a view of the Village Green, you'll be only a few feet away from the elevators. Rooms overlooking the Green will be something like X065, X063, X055 (with X being the floor #).

Most studios have an adjoining door to a 1BR but some are dedicated studios, also called a studio plus. These have a jr. sized daybed which can be useful with 2 kids. Otherwise, you'll have 1 queen bed and 1 double sofabed.

Room service is available if you want it or you can run down to the BW Bakery to pick up some breakfast treats. In addition, you should be able to order a takeaway dinner from any of the BW restaurants simply by asking at the restauant.

If you'll be going to MGM or Epcot, try walking instead of using the boat transportation. If you do take the boat back from MGM, then get off at the Swalphin dock and you'll be home much more quickly.

Have fun!

It's much quicker to walk to MGM than ride the boats. One thing about walking a long way to your room, if you go down the back steps, you will be that much closer to MGM. The first time I stayed at BW on the Boardwalk side, the noise was a little of a bother but since then, the noise has been no problem, not sure why....give me the boardwalk side anyway and as far up as I can get...the Epcot fireworks are great from up there. :)

You really want to convince him Cheri, see if you can get into a 1BR for those nights. I'll bet he would be looking for the DVC rep in the lobby the next morning! The studios are great, and have enough extras to sell themselves. Let us know how it all comes out!

Gotta agree with Joe here. The studios are nice. Nice like a deluxe resort room, but with the fridge, toaster, and such. But the one bedrooms really show you what DVC is all about. It's awesome to have that king master bedroom, the nice big bathroom with that huge whirlpool tub, a full kitchen, and living room! :D Oh yea! That sells it!

Don't worry about location too terribly much. When I stayed at BWV's last July it was a last minute reservation. I requested close to the elevators and upper floor, but ended up the second room from the very end of the hallway on the ground floor. It ended up being great! I could sit out on my patio, and enjoy the quite of the quite pool area, all while looking across the canal to the Dolphin. There are exits along the hallway, so that you can head out to MGM, the bus stop, or even Luna Park pool without going back to the elevators.

Try to spend some time in the Belle Vue Room. I love that place! It's just so neat. There's also a balcony area off there that overlooks the Village Green. That's where we had our meet last July. Very nice!

If you are using the buses seriously consider what Pam said...get off at the Swan, because it's just a quick walk back to the BWV side, and you won't have to make all the other stops.

Have fun!

Don't forget to enjoy the Boardwalk area as well. Some of the best restaurants DisneyWorld has to offer are right there around Crescent Lake. Flying Fish, Spoodles, Yachtsman Stekahouse, Beaches & Cream, they're all terrific. ESPN is great for a casual meal (and to catch a game from home, that might help sell it to your man-beast).

A late night stroll on the walkway around the lake is very nice. Or you can rent a surrey bike. Water mice are available too and fishing expeditions. Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance can round out the night for some late partying.

Can you tell I pretty much love everything about the Boardwalk?

Wow, Tagrel--can't wait for your pictorial on this one. I think you and Kristen and the girls are going to love the excitement of the Boardwalk.

And Cheri, you've gone from a "value resorts are fine" kind of fan to a DVC Deluxe girl awfully fast. A little luxury makes a difference doesn't it?

There is NOTHING like waking up to the sounds and sights of the Boardwalk, nothing like it on a beautiful day with the gulls sailing and Spaceship earth glittering in view

Good luck giving DH the DVC bug. The way I infected my DH was:
Casually read an article to him wile on the plane on what a great value DVC was for those who visit often or would like to. Suggest just to go to one or two of the resorts just to look around. You've already well on your way since you are staying at the BWV's. Next, I just kept wishing out loud how wonderful it would be to make this a family tradition so when the kids were grow up, they would still like to vacation with us.
It work for me and we do take family vacations with our married children. May '05 will be our first grand gathering, both married son's and families will join us, as well as an Aunt & Uncle and 2 set of grandparents, and one set of great grandparents. I lov mu DVC. Without it this would never have happened.

Welcome Home to DVC I hope!

Good luck Cheri  I really hope you can convince him!! DVC is just awesome. The BWV is such a great place too. I really don't have anything to add to what everyone else said. All I can do is agree! I would definitley try and get a BW view. I like sitting out on the balcony people watching. Plus you can mess with the entertainers who cruise around the BW. There is a cowgirl lady out there a lot. Just mention my name she'll give you the special show

Good luck girl!!
