Good Morning, All!
Today's quote An educated person is one who has developed the faculties of his mind such that he can get what he wants without it costing another. -- Napoleon Hill
(Sometimes these quotes don't seem to have all that much to do with healthy living, but I figure if that's the one that shows up when I flip the book open, there must be a reason for it.)
Goals for the day
Do %$#^ Chemistry homework
Drink water
have something healthy for breakfast instead of the Krispy Kremes I want
Drink Water
Get something out of the freezer for dinner.
Drink water
Do Core exercises
Happy Day, All! Let's rock![/quote]

Good Morning Healthinators!!
Good quote Ursulinda Healthy in spirit and mind especially!
Leisa (and Talias) mom- Welcome again
JennyAnne- take it a day at a time and it will all get done- don't stress- it causes unhealthy eating
Alikat- good luck with those finals, papers, and auditions (hope I'm not too late)
cshore- I hope your family get together yesterday was fun and meaningful for your nephew
Sheryl- I can't believe you walk 13 (or almost) miles in a regular day!! closest I ever get is 6-7
Everyone else I hope you eating and exercise plans went well for the weekend.
Todays weather here looks pretty dismal really gray and yucky out (no rain right now at least). DH wants to work on porch today which means I probably get to take Becky back to school- not a long drive (45min-hour) but by the time we load up a couple of suitcases of clothes and I lug them back it'll take 3-4 hours. I'm sort a looking forward to this week calander looks pretty good- a day at camp for in-school scouting on Tuesday but that's about all. Unfortunately no jobs on the horizon yet either.
Goals for today:
not to eat all the goodies I made fo rchurch
water, water, water
run if I have time (and no rain)
clean the house and finish laundry (actually have to start laundry yet as I ran the dishwasher this am with no water  so I had to re-do it) (hopefully I get the laundry done without washing water with no clothes)
no snacks

Good morning to all!!
It is a gray, cold wet day here today, and on my way home from work I think I saw a few tiny ice pellets falling. Spring will definitely be sweet if it EVER gets here. Not too much of a problem though because in just 8 days we willl be back in the Sunshine State in our happy place again. I am special ordering sunshine every day with temps in the mid 80's! I won't complain too much, at least I don't have to study chemistry!!
When we were getting things for Ali for college last fall I forgot one tiny detail...Where are we going to store all this stuff when she carts it home in the spring??? We already are very efficient with our storage (small condo=no room), and have no basement, so i guess we will live with even more clutter than usual. Everything she brought home yesterday is still in her car. I think she should leave it there. It would make moving back in August so easy, and it would only be for 15 weeks!
Still not eating healthy, still not exercising and still gaining back weight. As soon as we get back from WDW, Ali and I are going to do the Slim in Six program. It looks pretty intense, and i plan on following it to the letter. The diet is sound and what I should be eating. Now all I need a good dose of motivation and some behavior modification. Looks easy on paper, but I find any form of self discipline very difficult for the long haul. I am NOT a hopeless case...yet.
Keep up the good work everyone!!!

Great morning Healthinators! It's a beautiful day here and I need to get out to enjoy it before the rain comes.
Today I will
Eat healthy (lobster with no butter, can I possibly do this?)
Drink only water (didn't get as much in yesterday, will try harder today)
Walk Away the Pounds
Have a super day everyone! Sometimes we need to dig deep to get things done, let's dig. We WILL succeed!

Hello all!
Ursulinda, I understand completely about the Krispy Kremes. I can't keep them in my house or they'd be gone.
Bookwood -- if you have the willpower to make something yummy for others and not eat it, you are doing wonderfully. Hope the rain holds off in enough time for you to get a good run.
CShore, sounds like you have the right attitude. I'd like to hear more about the "Slim in Six" program. What is the basic structure? I'm sure you will do fine.
Pixie, wonderful plan for today. Hope the weather helps the walking plan.
As for me, yesterday was good. I was exhausted after mowing the yard, though, so there are still mountains of laundry to do before going to work tomorrow. Talia kept me up most of the night, so my primary goal for today is to be patient -- no zomby or grumpiness.
I did my "official" weigh in this morning. Down another 1/2 - 1 pound. I'm happy. I want to fit into my jeans by July 4. That seems reasonable to me, but it will come sooner than I think.
Today's real goals are to go to the grocery to get healthy foods. I'm out of salad (which is my core food group right now). I need to get the laundry finished. I also want to get a run in today (rain or no rain).
Good luck all.

Good morning everyone! It's a gllomy day here, which always seems to slow me down.
I've got to ahve Terry check out this meter, but It says I already walked 210 steps,a nd I only got out of bed, walked down stairs, got myself a muffin and diet pepsi and wlakled over to the computer....210 steps I don't think so. SO here I've been excitedly announcing how much I've been walking, but it might not be accurate. I'll have to check it out. Maybe I need to go to McDonalds for lunch to get a free meter.
Not much planned, except scrapbooking, a little housework, laundry, and grocery shopping. Fun WOW!!
Oh and eat healthy, drink water, and walk, walk, walk.
Hope you all have a great day! :circle:

Oooh, unfortunately Spring is not quite as sweet here today. It is cold, raining and yucky. We are celebrating my dad's birthday tonight, so I am busy putting together his birthday basket. It's really cute because it's baseball themed, so the gifts in the basket are wrapped and arranged to look like Jacob's Field (where the Cleveland Indians play). I am excited that it looks so good, so I really hope he likes it!
I really just have the normal goals for today. I need to work on getting things straightened up. It seems like if I ever skip a day or two, it gets messed up so quickly. :( So I need to work on the kitchen and living room, and also start up with the laundry again so we both have clean clothes for work this week! And of course, I need to watch what I eat and drink. Oh, and not let the rain get me down.
Hope you all have a great Sunday!! :D

:tink: Late check in for me. It's a nice :sun: day out there 8) but, I'm busy w/resumes as I have to get a job. I'd love to lounge around, but cannot afford it. DH is also applying for another job, so please send some powerful PD for him for that job. :D I think I'll give him his first batch. :fairymagic: He's out cold sleeping right now after making a new resume today which is completely separate from his regular resume. It had to be made specifically for that job. Everyone knows how that is. :bee:
I have gotten all my water in already, :D but contiue to drink water.
:D Have been making wise food choices today.
Hope to get to some further unpacking today. Will have to squeeze it in somewhere. :tink:

A tired Gooding Evening!
The house is quiet, everyone has gone home. The christening ceremony was a big event. Eight babies baptised at our church today. My DGS was a little angel during the ceremony and at the party that followed. The weather was a big worry but it turned out to be a beautiful day. Everyone enjoyed eating outside thank heavens since I didn't know where I would put 40 people. I have a lot of leftovers especially cakes. All the sugar free jello desserts went first. I'm making DH put all the calorie laiden stuff down stairs in the freezer so I won't be temped.
I enjoyed the company and was very careful with the food except for the chocolate mousse cake. Well, I'll need to get back on track tomarrow. I don't want to make a habit of eating those rich desserts.
I hope everyone had a magical weekend. So until tomarrow...
Sandy
