Everytime I try to post or reply(even when the top of the screen shows I'm logged in) it comes up and asks me to login, then won't accept my login.
Help!! What am I doing wrong?
HockeyMom
(and when I tried to post this as HockeyMom it came up and told me this user name was already taken.... I know, it's me! )

Hi HockeyMom -
well your account is active, and should be working ok.
- What Web Browser are you using? Netscape 4.7 and the AOL browser can have issues with this forum software. Try a later version of Netscape (6.0+ works OK), or Internet Explorer if the problems continue.
Also, try logging out/ logging back in or rebooting your system and see if that helps at all.
Sorry you are having problems, but I've heard others having similar issues, so we'll find a fix for you!

Hi Tag and HockeyMom!
I think I know what the problem is. HockeyMom, you may be "logging in" in the wrong place. Any guest can post a message by hitting new Topic and starting. At that time, there will be a space to type in "User Name" at the top of the message area. However, if you are not seeing your name at the very top of every page in an area marked "logout[HockeyMom]", you are really not logged into the website.
Go to the very top of this page and look at the tool bars there. At the very top you see the name of the Website. Line right below that has icon links to go to "Home", "Chat", "ecards", etc. The next two lines are where you will find the true log in. It is on the far right, next to Private messages.
At the time you enter your name, "HockeyMom" and your password, be sure to check the box for logging in automatically each time. Otherwise you have to do this each time you visit.
My guess is you were confused that the entry of "user name" in the posting area was a log on, when it is not. That's why the system said, whoa this guest is not our HockeyMom! She's not logged in!
Go back and try again using the button I suggested. If that doesn't work, I'm hiding and go ask Tag!
Seriously, we will do what we can to get you running in here. Hang in there! :D

Hi Moley... I was checked in at the top when I tried to post & it wouldn't let me. I'm guessing it was aol. My DH is a beta tester & that has caused several "hiccups" (to be nice about it). I'm on the "old" computer now, so if I can post this that was probably the problem.
Thanks!
Nancy

Hi HockeyMom!
I'm glad you got in. AOL does have some problems sometimes, more often with the chat than the boards. Rebooting or launching an IE browser is the best medicine then. Glad you solved it and you are here! Welcome!! :D
