Help me! I found it on Amazon for $330 with no shipping and no tax. Is this a good price? I really think this is so cool and would take my scrapbooking to the next level (I HATE cutting stuff out). I know there are some real Cricut fans in this group. I know I will be spending extra on cartridges, etc. but plan on asking for gift cards to Michael's, JoAnn's, and Walmart for Christmas. Should I bite the bullet?

And why would you be wanting to resist?

Check this source - people on various other boards have had success with them - http://www.hallmarkscrapbook.com/ Right now they have a cricut bundle w/4 carts for 340. or the Machine with 2 carts for 280. (The later would probably be my choice, because the other two carts might not be as useful to me.) The Amazon package comes with the same two carts, but I'm thinking shipping from Hallmark won't cost you the 50$ difference in price.

Also, if you have ACMoore, they run a sale on a bundle almost monthly, and that would also save you shipping. (Appears to be machine w/4 carts and a set of inks for $320) http://www.acmoore.com/t-UnadvertisedStoreSpecials.aspx (The inks replace the cutter - with them, you can set the machine to "cut" the basic shape with the ink in place, and then replace the pen with the cutter and cut set on "shadow" I think is what it's called, which gives you an outlined figure with pen detailing. it can be very cute, and the inks sell for around $10 a set seperately.)

https://www.cutterscreek.com/store/ Is another on line store that sometimes has good prices for carts, but their machine price isn't so hot.

I LOVE my cricut!

Hallmarkscrapbook is where I got my cricut a few years ago. I also ordered my Winnie the Pooh cartridges there as well. I've always been happy with their service and prices.

And I love my cricut too (even though it's the old one not the Expressions)

OK, so resistance is futile!. I bought one... They had several options at Hallmark so I found one deal with cartridges I thought I would likely use. I will be watching for a good price on the Disney cartridges though. Thanks for the advice. You didn't have to twist my arm too much.:):)

I just bought the Pooh cart on eBay for $35.00 - I find that I can usually get things on eBay for much less than retail if I am patient. I bid on 35 cutters before ending up with a winning bid on my expression - I paid $275 including shipping, one cart and one mat, which I thought was a very good deal. Since I had a bug, I had several other cartridges. I purchases the Accent Expressions, which is normalling included in the expression machine when you buy it retail, for an additional $31.00.

I {heart} eBay!

I was just at Wal-mart getting some extra mats for my new Cricut (which should be delivered tomorrow) and found both of the Mickey cartridges for $30 each. They were hiding in the small clearance section in the craft aisle. I couldn't believe it.

The teenager who checked me out asked if they were a game. I told him they were for a scrapbooking machine and he said they were expensive. I told him they were a great deal.

Of course I ot them both!

Here it is:

This wreath is designed to go around the stateroom number on the Disney Magic. The greenery is Mickey Heads inked with gold (and probably going to add some stickles - it looks to blah) - I cut a full sheet of 3 different cardstocks - in design studio, rotated every other one was rotated, so they overlapped and used less paper. The Bow is Minnie's hair bow, and two "rolled newspapers" for the tails. The berries are punches, and the white "statice flowers" are mickey hands cut at 1 inch.

What size did you cut the Mickey heads?

roughly 3 inches.

(If you want big characters, I can cut the parts for you. What are you looking for?)
