View Full Version : How does this sound plan-wise?

By Esmerelda's popular request, I settled down last night and tried to get an idea of where we would be spending our days. I won't even bother trying to figure out which attractions when yet (or boring you with those details) but does this look OK for a general plan?:

Monday, May 17
Morning Park: AK (for EMH)
Lunch: Counter Service
Possible Break
Evening Park: MGM
Dinner: 50's PT (PS made)
see Fantasmic!

Tuesday, May 18
Morning Park: EPCOT
Lunch???
Possible Break
Evening Park: MK
Dinner: Hot dogs from Casey's while scouting for Spectro spot
see Spectro and Wishes

Wednesday, May 19
Morning Park: MGM
Lunch???
Definite Break
Evening Park: MK (for extra magic hours!)
Dinner: ???

Thursday, May 20
Our day on our own
Jeremy: golf at 8:00 am (Lake Buena Vista?) and then afternoon nap
JennyAnne: whichever park strikes her fancy
Anniversary dinner: Yachtsman at 7:00 pm (PS made)

Friday, May 21
Morning Park: MK (for EMH)
Lunch: Crystal Palace (PS made)
Possible break
Evening park: EPCOT
Dinner: ???
See Illuminations!

Saturday, May 22
I have left this day completely open. I don't know what we will miss the first time around, or what Jer will really love and want to do again. Of course, everything is flexible but I wanted to leave this day especially flexible for us to choose whatever we want.

Sunday, May 23
Check out
Jeremy: golf at 8:00 (Magnolia)
JennyAnne: Maybe a park, maybe shopping...whatever I feel like I need to do one last time.

As you can see, a lot of my lunch and dinner slots are still undecided. I only have three PS's made so far. I tried to make sure we start at each of the different parks on one day or another. I also made sure that for MK, EP and MGM, we ended the day at each one so we can see the fireworks, parades, etc.

I also mixed it up, doing Early Entry on Monday (AK) and Friday (MK), but not on the other days. Don't want to wear Jeremy out. So what do you think? Be honest, I don't offend easily. :D Thanks for reading this whole post...I know it's long!

Jenny Anne - this looks like a great plan!!! I like the fact that you incorportated extra breaks into the middle of your day when it is hotest - even us adults need some relax time!!!

It looks fine to me, wish I was the one that close to planning. On the Tuesday at EPCOT, you are having a light dinner (my favourite hotdog is from Casey's) so if it was me I'd be adding a PS for lunch at Rose & Crown in England. I love their cottage pie and have it every time we go. Excellent schedule and I like your bit of unplanned time, we all need that. :minnie:

It looks like you have everything well thought out. I like that you have a plan but you also have time to do what suits your fancy. You are going to have such a great time.

Looks good to me Jenny Anne! I love the open day for things you want to see again. I think with just the two of you, there should not be too much wait for a place to eat!

There are a couple great places to see Wishes from. We were to the left side of the castle - up about two paths with a great rail for leaning. We did not see the parade that night so unsure if it is a good place to watch that from. Maybe others have a good idea for that!

You will have a wonderful trip!

I really like the built in flexibility, too JennyAnne! Just be sure you have a nice list of "possibles" with you. I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of PSes--often there is space for a couple at places where a family would have a long wait.

For Illuminations night you can feast quite well by strolling World Showcase and getting a little something here and a little something there. That's the most romantic part of WDW, I think and even more so during the Flower and Garden Show!

Thanks, JennyAnne!

I love your plan-you did great! The one thing I personally would add is the parade at MGM-I really liked it! It is held late afternoon so maybe you could do that before your dinner at Prime Time.

JennyAnne,
Great Plan!!! I'd add a recommendation for lunch at SCi-Fi dine in (if you acll for a PS ask for a car) I tink it would be fun for you and Jeremy to sit in an old car under the "twinkling stars" watching really old "scarey movies". I'd love to go there with just DH sorta a reminise of all those drive- in movies (or in our case sit on a blanket outside the chapel to watch the movie on a sheet dates we had getting to know each other) (our colleege used to show movies on weekends in warm weather on a sheets (huge) put up on the side of the chapel-sometimes they were all night movie marathons- but as it was all out in the open- and a different time-there was very little x-rated activity including drinking) ah those were the days!!

hi JennyAnne,

I bet that the last-minute announcement of the EMH schedule testing made your planning more challenging. I think you did really well! I like how you have things balanced.

Two quick dining suggestions:

* I agree with zakerdog that maybe a sit-down lunch at Epcot on Tuesday would be a good idea, with Casey's in the plan for a light supper. But I would put in a vote for LeCellier, as we've enjoyed both wonderful food and good service there.

* For dinner at MK on Wednesday evening, maybe Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bills?

Good job! I hope you'll be writing a trip report, both to let us know how your itinerary worked for you and to share some of your favorite experiences. :talking:

Gosh guys! Thank you SO much for all the responses! It makes me happy to know that WDW veterans think this looks OK. Things are so hard to envision when it's been so long.

I am going to spend part of today looking at menus. I might make another PS or two, but mostly I just like to see what's on the menu. Perfect activity for a rainy day. With Jeremy being such a picky eater, I don't want to head all the way over to a restaurant and then find out there's nothing on the menu that he will want to eat. I have a little binder and I have been printing off some of Deb's menus and inserting them in the binder. I can take that with us and that way Jer can sit in the hotel room and look at places to eat for the next day. Obviously, there are some I know he won't enjoy, so I don't print those off, but even now he enjoys looking through them a bit.

Thanks again for the tips and advice! And yes, I will definitely be writing a trip report to let you all know how things went and what we enjoyed.

:D
