After Will's great chat last night, it got me thinking about digital cameras. I found a Nikon 775 on Ebay for a really good price (brand new with warranty). Does anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks!

I have not used that camera myself. The only rap I have ever heard on the Nikon digitals is that they eat batteries, but they all do. Check out the review at cameraworld.com They have refurbished 775s on sale for $179. I have never had a problem with products purchased from cameraworld.

I'm not familiar with that particular camera, but here's a link a review of it on my favorite review site:

http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/C775/C775A.HTM

and my second-favorite site:

I hope these reviews are helpful.

I have an earlier version of this very camera! It's great!

Pros: so small and convenient. Plenty big screen on the back for previewing. Focus is excellent, pictures on normal settings are all nice and dark.

Cons: if you're really close to your subject, the viewfinder is off (use the preview window instead). The software that came with mine didn't work at all (but I got freeware that did work).

I just love having a camera small enough to take anywhere!

Thanks so much. Will the second review was most helpful!

Also, Miss B, your own personal review was great too!

I think that I will try it out. I found one for a really good price on Ebay - we'll see . . .
