This is SOOOO wrong... Someone has purchased the entire ship for the Oct 28th 3 day sailing. And everyone else who has had reservations for possibly the last 8 - 12 months is OUT OF LUCK.
I can't believe they would do this 6 months before a cruise sails. SO many people are locked into their vacation dates, have WDW vacations booked before or after, already paid for airfare, etc, etc, etc...
And I'm NOT alone. The Cruise board on the DIS has 9 pages of responses on this JUST TODAY!
DIS board thread on cancelled cruise (http://130.94.75.33/showthread.php?s=81f118699b1339410b988ddf3991259c&threadid=552364)
I would be SOOOOO ticked off.... I need to write a letter anyway... Of all the greedy, thoughtless, UN-family oriented decisions I've ever seen... :hopmad:
GRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh my gosh-I would be HOT if I had a cruise planned then. Of course then again, I think Disney is just continuing their trend of arrogance, of being guided purely by money, and thinking their decisions will never come back to haunt them.

probably using it for their own self promotion! That is terrible. I agree with your opinion Esmerelda

DUDE!!! Sorry, I was the one that booked the whole ship!!! I was GOING to take everyone from this site for free!! But HEY, if you guys dont wanna go then, maybe I will head on over and invite the DIS ;-)
MAYBE, someone booked it and they are going to give out free cruises too LOTS of sick and unfortunate childern!! That would be a nice idea! AND, maybe Disney will reimbusress everyones airfare AND give them an upgrade to a 7 night cruise.
Ya think????
Well, me neither, but I try and stay positive

DUDE! That is really GREAT of you - but a deed isn't quite as good if it doesn't take into account those it hurts!
So even - on the VERY outside chance that Disney is doing this out of the goodness of their heart ( - sorry - it couldn't be helped.... paused for laughing break) - You DON'T charter a cruise that has been booking for almost a year, and cancel all the current passengers trips. You have rules that a charter can only be booked BEFORE a cruise opens to the general public. OR - you give current passengers an option to stay on the ship or be rescheduled if they would like.
Well, you have these rules if you are more customer oriented than maximizing profit oriented. Disney shows that they will inconvenience any number of families if the price is right. This is Ei$ner's Disney at its worst - and it SUCKS the magic out of a company that can't really afford to suck any more right now! Don't even tell me that Micro-Managing-Mikey wouldn't know about someone chartering an entire DCL cruise...

Maybe Big Mike chartered it for himself!!!! Maybe its his going away bash that we've all been waiting for
