Does anyone have the Zutter's Bind-It-All machine? Do you use it, do you like it?

I have a chance to get one at a pretty good price using a gift certificate. I was wondering how much I would use it.

Thanks!

I'm betting - not much! Even the owner of the now deceased scrapbook store, who bought it whole sale doesn't use it, despite that she hosts crops and classes at her house.

I have one and I love it! But I scrapbook for a living, so I get lots of use out of it.

Do you make a lot of mini albums? If you do then it is worth it...if you don't, well it'll make a great paperweight.

I decided to get it. I do routine books, schedule books, etc. for luvsPiglet and always end up going to Kinko's to get them bound. I also do a lot of mini albums. I have an expiring Gift Certificate and also was able to pick it up at wholesale.

I am into distressing, crackle paint and grunge board. I watched a couple of demo videos and am giving this kind of look a go. I have to keep trying different techniques and different things as my books end up all looking the same.

Couple of projects that I have going on is a memory box for luvsPiglet, a 8x8 memory book of Commencement Weekend, and a "10 Reasons Why I Love You" mini book. Oh yes, add to that my composition book Journals, and a 2009 Calendar that I plan on selling the idea or teaching a class. Oh my, another project is my ongoing ATC spinner from 7 Gypsies. That is fun!

Thanks for the opinions. TMom, when you come in to visit, bring things that need to be bound.

I wouldn't know WHAT to bind, to be honest. You think your scrapbooks end up looking all the same - you should see mine! (April, don't let twinks kid you - her stuff IS professional! She should be working for simple scrapbooks magazine)

twinks - do you trade your ATC's? I have a friend who does them, too. I don't think she trades hers because she gets too attached. She's made a couple for me. I cherish them - little pieces of art...

I don't think that I could get into trading my ATC's. I have the spinner and I am using it as a calendar type thingy. So far I have every month and the birthdays of friends and family.

I signed up for a Christmas tag swap at a scrapbook store in Cape Cod. Now, that is funny. I will take my tags when I go in October and they will do the swap and ship mine to me.

Linda, you are much too kind. I don't think my stuff is really professional. I really struggle to do different things.

You wouldn't happen to be on the Cape the last weekend in March would you? There's a scrapbooking retreat . . .

Unfortunately luvsPiglet will be in Utah then . I will be there mid-Oct, first part of Feb, and around Mother's Day.

My store of choice on Cape Cod is Colorful Creations (colorfulcreations.net). They carry a lot of beachy stuff and being in land locked Utah, there isn't a lot of beachy stuff. However, they don't have a lot of snowy stuff. I usually plan on doing their "Art Bar" while I am there. It is fun. I check into their classes, but, I've rarely had time and usually there is not something that I am interested in.

I like to go to different stores so I can get different paper and ideas. The only problem is that if it is something that I intend to sell, I can't use it. The LSS that I sell to is very particular and she will only pay for me designs if I use everything available in their store. Makes sense.

Wow! Nothing like highjacking your own thread.

That looks like a fun store! I'll check it out when I go out to crop. This retreat is not run by a store, but two of the DIS board women, so most of the participants will be Disney nuts too. Wish you were here, lol.

Did you get your bind-it-all?

Sigh

Hopefully in my next life (after luvsPiglet's educated) I will have the time and resources to go to retreats, crops, etc. I am contemplating doing the Friday night crop at Colorful Creations when I am there.

Yes, I picked up the Bind It All today. I also got Sis's birthday present. I got 2 really great things and it cost me $7! (If you don't count the GC and the fact that I will have to work on Friday this week).

Two Peas (website) has a cute idea for a Post It Notes holder in the Gallery today. It used my Bind It All. Love the idea!

yes I am a Pea. I really have never posted. Maybe since I have figured out my camera and getting my pics online, I should start to learn how to post in the Gallery.

Are you a Pea?

That is funny because I will visit the NSBR section also. Sometimes I laugh at the Disney questions.

Totally! And I love how all the posts about planning get the same response...go visit site xyz. It's always one of the last place I would send people with planning questions.

My username is the same one i have here.

Twinks, I now see why you wanted this thing! Had the chance to use one in two different classes this weekend at CKC - basically you can turn anything into a book with that thing! I was impressed by the ease of use and quality of the finished product.
