The 2004 dates have been announced. :mickeyHalloween: :mickeyXmas:
AllEars has them posted, tickets have not gone on sale yet. They have also confirmed that the Osborne Family Lights will be back  This is so exciting I can't wait to order mine. :minnie:
MVMCP Friday December 10th, any other MouseFest participants planning on going that night? :theWave:

Thanks for the heads up zakerdog! I'm planning on either 12/9 or 12/10... I know that the Friday MVMCP last year on the 5th sold out, so I was leaning toward Thursday, but I'll probably go along with whatever night most Mousefesters can make it! :mickeyXmas:

We are willing to go either the 9th or 10th depending on when the Taginators want to meet. We are also trying to get included in a boat on the 11th for the Illuminations Cruise.

Last year we went to MVMCP the night we arrived on a Sunday and it was the first night. Not too crowded.

Anyone want to go the 9th or the 10th? We're open. I haven't made all my plans yet for December (I must be slowing down) so I have time to switch dates to suit the majority of the Taginators at this point.

Was waiting for years to see the Osborne Lights and of course, last year it was cancelled. SOOOO happy we'll get to see them this year!!!

I can't wait for the tickets to go on sale. At least now I know I don't have to change any dates. Yay!!!!

We'll probably be doing MNSSHP on the 8th or the 12th. I'd like to do it on the 8th, because the wait will kill me, but it would probably be more crowded since it's a Friday.

I'm leaning toward the 9th for MVMCP, but I have not made any firm Mousefest plans other than the Segway tour, so the 10th is a possibility. I'm thinking the 9th will be less crowded since that Friday of Mousefest always sells out. You know what they say though...the more the merrier.

Dave:

Why don't we try to plan for the 9th? Isn't that Thursday? This way we can all try to get in the same night and meet up somewhere. I know Friday's usually get crowded and sold out earlier.

Anyone want to stick with Thursday, Dec. 9th?

Okay, my question is where the heck are they going to put the Osbourne Family Lights?

Residential Street is gone and that new stunt show stadium is absolutely huge.

We've done MNSSHP :mickeyHalloween: the last 3 years. Going again this year, just not sure when. Last year we went Halloween night but NEVER AGAIN!!! Way too crowded.
We missed out of MVMCP :mickeyXmas: last year but this year I'm going to surprise my daughter with tickets for this years party.

T-Bell,

Can you tell us more about MNSSHP? Do you both dress up? I am trying to imagine what costume wouldn't be too hot. We would be going in Early October, I think it is the 8th or so(Friday). Are the hours about 7-12? Do you think it would be worth it even if we had to leave about 10 PM?

This is the only major event at WDW I've never done. Can you tell I'm excited, lol?

Esmerelda, this is a great party! From the re-decoration and dressing of the MK into a spooky themed area, to the parade, the villians show on the Cindarellas stage, to the trick-or-treat stands all over the park. Don't miss it! We have done it twice, and had a blast both times. I think it would be very worth it even if you had to leave a bit early, just make sure you see the parade. We watched it last year over in Frontierland and had great seats. As for costumes, we saw a bit of everything; from home grown pirates and princesses to store purchased/rented outfits. The evening we were there last year (30th) was a bit cool with some sprinkles of rain, but nothing much to worry about. 3 years ago, we got more rain but still had a great time.

Joe,

You have sure convinced me! Ordering the tickets right now. We have been to MK so many times, I'm not concerned about the rides-as long as we had time to see the parade and do the trick or treating stuff. Don't you think that early in October it won't be as crowded as late October?

I'm so excited! It's been a long time since I've done something new at WDW. Thanks for your great synopsis of the party!

I think you are correct in that it will not be as crowded earlier in the month.

And which DVC will you be staying at while you are there?

Have a great time!

Hey Esmerelda -

Sorry I'm so late answering. Joe pretty much said it all. We love this event and plan on going as long as Disney keeps having it.
All 3 years, my sister has dresses as her favorite character - Maleficent. She bought the costume at Garden Ridge and even has a black crow attached to a black glove. The first year we went, little kids were coming up to her asking for candy and wanting their pictures taken.....she looked that good.
The first 2 years my daughter went as Jasmine (I purchased the costume from the MK). The highlight of year 2 was her getting her picture taken with Jasmine and Aladdin during the parade. Last year she went as Pocahontas (costume from Disney catalog).
Now for me........the first year my mom made me a Cinderella costume...just like the one she's wearing in the movie when she's cleaning the house. The only people who knew who I was were the CM's at the party  The next year I went as Eeyore (costume from Disney catalog). That was a big mistake because not only was it HOT but also hard to get out of.
Last year I went as Bo Peep (costume from Disney catalog) and everything was just fine. I had so much fun asking the CM's if they'd seen my sheep :D

It's hard picking a costume that will go along with our wacky Florida weather. There's no way to know if it's going to be warm, hot, cool, or cold.

Good luck planning who your going to be. Guess you could always be Esmerelda 8)

You're right about early October not being as crowded. We went Halloween night last year and it was horrible. This year we're planning to go early.

We had been warned, so we spent Halloween night over at DD and at the Boardwalk party. A great time, and I have a hilarious picture of Cathy with "Ariel". He (she) was a riot!!!!!

Joe,

I'm not staying at DVC   ! I am only going Friday-Sunday and I just can't stomach paying those weekend points. It will be my first trip in a while not staying at DVC. I hope I can cope-I've been absolutely spoiled by OKW.

I think we might try Fort Wilderness Cabins this time.
