Photo Assignment Ideas

I thought I'd start a thread where we post ideas for upcoming assignments. September is coming up quickly - any thoughts?

Early Halloween Decorations in your neighborhood - on homes or at the local store - ours are actually out already! or we can make this one next month (October) and have costumes included.

September 7th is Grandparents day - how about nice photos of the elderly either relatives, neighbors or such - they always seem to show much wisdom and their eyes speak volumnes!

Fruits and Vegetables - the harvest idea

It is the time of harvest and fall festival time where I live.

For September we could do Maturity. That covers everything suggested here....and then some?

I was thinking for September the theme could be Back to School.

I thought of that too - but when I thought about me down at the local school taking photos of kids :blink: the local jail popped into my head too :shock:

old people - ripe veggies - old barns - weathered decks - massive trees - think mature(ity) fits better - more choices so we can "all skate" ;)

Back to School is part of everyone's life - from the traffic jams as the busses start running again to the constant deluge of TV commercials for clothes and supplies to the school supplies clogging the aisles of every shop and store to the packs of kids walking past on the way to and from school every day.

When kids go back to school, movie theaters and arcades once again become empty, peaceful places during the week, WDW becomes a ghost town for the whole month of September, daycare providers start looking for supplemental income, college-area business boom, apartment complexes fill up, and fast-food places scramble to find daytime employees to replace the kids who can now only work nights and weekends.

Traffic patterns, spending patterns, employment patterns, daily activities, sports schedules - entire industries change modes from "summer" to "school year" when the kids go back to school.

Kids going back to school affects everyone in our society either directly or indirectly, whether you are a kid, have a kid, know a kid, or can't stand kids.

I think we can all skate on that.
