Need an SD card for your digital camera? How about a MicroSD card for your cell phone or PDA? Get both in one with a Kingston MicroSD card.

Kingston MicroSD cards come with an adapter to make them fit in digital cameras or memory card readers; with the adapter, they are full-size SD cards, and without the adapter, they are MicroSD cards that can be used in cell phones, PDAs, and MP3 players equipped with MicroSD slots. I have 5 of these cards myself, some 1gb and some 2gb, which I use in my phone and MP3 player.

Kingston also recently released a tiny USB card reader for MicroSD cards. The full-size SD adapter is not needed, you just plug the MicroSD card in and viola! Instant USB flash drive.

Meritline is currently running an excellent package deal - 1 Kingston 2gb MicroSD card, with SD adapter, bundled with the tiny USB card reader, all for $9.99, and with free standard shipping.

I bought one of these myself, and I love being able to carry such a tiny 2gb flash drive, but also having the ability to take the memory card out of my phone and plug it into any PC using the tiny card reader, so that I can share my pics or ringtones with friends.

Great price, but after my second Kingston memory card crapped out on me I decided they get no more of my money. I've never had any other type die, but after the second Kingston one did I gave up on them. I'm sure others must have better luck with them though...

Ive bought a few different memory cards from Meritline with very good results. I may pick up one of these cards for my daughter's camera. Never had any problems with Kingston or even the more generic cards that they offer.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the cards, Tag. Did you try to get it replaced by Kingston under warranty?

They lasted at least a year or so before going bad so I never even tried to get them replaced. Once the second one died I decided that I couldn't trust the brand any longer. Losing pictures/data is NOT a good thing and while it could happen to any card, two from the same manufacturer was more than I'm willing to put trust in again.

Totally understand that one...
Lost memories (or memory, depending how you look at it :) ) is not worth the frustration.

Walgreen's has 2g SD memory cards at $9.99 from 7am to 1pm today (Black Friday). That's Walgreen's, the drugstore, not Walmart, the everything store.
