Master Bathroom was a little drab. I have coffee (w/milk) colored walls and white tiles, ceiling, 1/2 beadboard and window trim. Was a little dull with white eyelet shower curtain. So, I put up new shower curtain and then cut up another one to cover the old picture in the room to match the curtain. Bought new soap dispenser and tumber and handtowels. Think it brightened it some.

I thought it was lovely before, but this is very nice!
(Claire's whole house looks like something out of a decorator magazine - after we visited, my dh wanted to throw everything out around here and start over again. We compromised - only renovating the kitchen.)

That's cute! How much do you charge to come to Ohio and do my 3 bathrooms? I hate decorating bathrooms, because they're small.

Very nice Claire. I ahve the same colored wall in my newly redone bathroom that Terry gutted in Feb and completely remodeled. I'll try to post pictures tomorrow after we figure out how to download them with the new camera.
I Love Burgundy and flowers so that is what we put in our upstairs bathroom.
I love to remodel and pick things out, I just hate when it's my money. The only room to be redone is our bedroom, and with Ter working 7 days a week right now, I don't see that happening soon. But I am already thinking color, new furniture (we bought our bedroom set when we got married, it was extremely expensive BUT I don't care for it after 19 years), new carpet, bedding, decor. Just need the money and time now.;)

Ooooh, Claire! Love that fabric and all it's colors! I love that floral print. May I ask where you foun that lovely curtain? I've picked out a similar patttern with more greens and creams behind the burgundy flowers to redo my bedroom.
About a month ago, I brought home swatches of fabric from JoAnn's and picked paint colors to go with it. I've been staring at it since to make certain i like it. This week, all decorator fabric is 50% off at JoAnn's and I also have a Labor Day 10% off the entire purchase coupon! Woohoo! The plan was to go on Friday (first day coupon is good) and make the purchase. Wellllll...I went to JoAnn's yesterday to work out an estimate of how much fabric I needed and how much it would cost...and the fabric is GONE! The space it was in on the rack was empty. I think somebody else had the same idea, only they must not have had the dang coupon which is what was holding me off. Shoot! I even went to the next nearest one last night to look for it and the same thing happened! I've got one more store to try today and hope it;s there. Maybe I can hold it until tomorrow for the coupon, if not, I'll just buy it if I find it.

Ditto for me Sheryl! Time and money, the age old hindrance to FUN and good things! LOL
My fbedroom furniture is 24 years old, still like the dressers but would love a new headboard. I've got my eye on a vintage ladies vanity my mom has. LOL It's the kiind where there are low chests of drawers to either side of a long mirror and a little table stretches between the chests below the mirror. (I know it has a name but, it's not coming to me this morning. Too early in the AM!) I've been racking my brain trying to think of how to talk her out of it! LOL

Tammy,
My mom had one of those bureaus and she called it a make-up vanity. It had a three-drawer bureau on each side of middle table with mirror above it.

P.S. Forgot to say that the shower curtain was from our "newly-redecorated" Walmart. they have all kinds of nice new things they never had before. Also all new fabrics and rugs/soap dishes etc. to match.
I love the beadboard
Our master bath is just about the same color - I call it sand ;) trying to get Tramp to put up the beadboard - naturally want a shore look

Lady,
In the guest bathroom I have white beadboard halfway down also but I painted the tops of the walls aquamarine like my kitchen. I have a big painting on one side of Venice and the other wall has a unique wall hanging I found in the back of some store - TJMaxx or one of those stores. It's a pretend piece of driftwood with other small pieces on top of it to look like it's layered. There is a dock with a boat, two houses farther up on another piece of driftwood and a few seagulls. Just perfect for the room. I have blue and green towels and an aquamarine Yankee candle etc. My favorite colors.
