Does anyone have some more scoop on a rumor I have heard about a new attraction being put together at WDW (sorry, but I don't even know which park, but I'd guess MK) that features live characters Tink and all the fairies from the movie Faeries? I think the idea might be that the whole attraction appears to be huge, so the fairies look tiny. I'm a Tink lover!

Sorry if this has come up in another thread already... still getting to know this board!

I havne't heard anything, but i'm the last one to know this kind of news. I notice it when I see the new construction going up. I"m sure they'll be others here that have more scoop.

The only thing I've heard is they're making a Faeries Room for a Meet & Greet over in Toontown.

MissDisney, I have heard that it will be going up in Toontown too! And they will be over-sized sets to put the fairies in perspective. I have heard that they are having a hard time filling all the roles with 'just the right' fairies!!

:tink:Yay! Here's a link to the story about it in the Orlando Sentinel. It sounds terrific:

Being that Tink is my favorite, I would so love this meet. I realize others think she should remain small, but I think if they do it right, it would be wonderful. I love the idea of a "shrinking" process bringing us all down to her size with Giant size props around.

I too cannot wait for the fairies movie. Not sure what I will think of Tink talking.. have to wait and see.

I am so excited about this!!!! I can't see them not putting up an attraction of some sort. The Faeires franchise seems in desperate need of a publicity "shot in the arm" to generate some interest and enthusiasm, being that the movie has been a troubled project with delays and casting changes. We can't wait for the movie around here.

Doesn't Disney considers a 'meet and greet' as an attraction?

It could be very cute if people get the illusion of shrinking as the walk through the queueto the pixie M&G. I wonder how they would handle that with the existing Toontown queue where the line for the two rooms currently run side by side.
