No Osbourne Lights in 2008??

I heard this rumor. Has anyone else heard anything about this??

OH NO! Seriously? I had not heard about this. Hope it is a rumor. This would be the first time I would have seen them. I suppose it is a HUGE price tag.

Hopefully, someone else will pop in here and dispel it as rumor. Thanks for the heads up, though, dengate.

It's listed under special events on the disney.com- so I think you can safely assume it's just a rumor. :boyears:

The old Hunchback theater where they were storing the lights is being renovated, but that just means they're storying the lights somewhere else. (The theater was just a giant open shed.)

The lights are a big draw to the park, to the point where they advertise them on billboards. I can't see any reason why they wouldn't display them this year.

I hope not either, it will be my family's first time seeing the lights also. I heard it from a DVC member I was going to rent some points from. If it's listed on Disney's website for December that should pretty much indicate that they are a go.

(Read with humor) The thing is with rumors like this is that it falls into play with Disney's use of the term "subject to change without notice."

The good news is that by the time people start going in the Fall, they will be able to verify the rumor or not just because the lights will start to go up during that time frame. That is, of course, unless the rumor is disproved before then.

But agreed - it would be a bummer if they were not there.

No worries. The lights will be there again this year. And next year too. And even the year after that :)
