Bound for Europe

These smilies so perfectly match how I'm feeling today. Sutree and I are leaving in the morning (Wednesday) for Europe! We're going to Italy and France, doing 2 Adventures by Disney tours, then spending a couple of days in Disneyland Paris. We'll be gone for 3 weeks.

SuzyQ helped us set everything up. Suzy - you are fabulous!

Neither of us have been out of the country before. We're beside ourselves with excitement. I'm going to try to keep a journal so I can actually do a trip report and a blog entry for AllEars when I get home. I'm not usually very good at writing but I'll try to channel Brian!

Of course, I'll definately take lots of photos too. If I can swing it I'll try to post a few on my personal blog (http://barrieb.wordpress.com/) while I'm gone.

Thanks for the compliment! Just remember take good notes, sit next to anyone slightly crazy whenever possible (for good material), and use excessive amounts of metaphors and exaggeration for effect. If that doesn't work I know you will at least have the best photos around! :lol:

Don't forget to meet the dragon under the castle in DLRP and have a meal at Walt's and if you want to have some extra info there are tours of both parks - and you'll get a nice pin to remember them by!

There is much to see in Italy and you are going at a good time. Later in the summer it is hot and very crowded.

Have an absolutely amazing time, Barrie! Just about this time last year we were leaving on the Disney Med cruise. Hopefully your weather will be as beautiful as ours was.

You didn't say where you'd be in France and Italy, but I know you'll see so many wonderful things.

Like you, DH and I had never been to Europe before so everything was fresh, exciting and new (even if it was hundreds of years old) LOL.

I can't wait to see some of your beautiful pictures.

Just for fun, keep an eye out for laundry hanging from balconies. We took pictures all over Italy and France. One of these days I'm going to combine them all into a "laundry" collage. With your "photographer's eye," I know you'll find it an interesting subject that will tie all the cities you visit together.

You two are going to have a great time. John and I went to Italy about 28 years ago and we still talk about all the wonderful experiences we had there. The food the wine and the history all make for a wonderful time.
