Am thinking I'd like to purchase this one, to be sure we have a decent camera when the baby arrives, but Mia would like to see some photos first.
Anyone have time to post some photos taken with the Canon S3?
Also, any suggestions for best place to purchase?
Thanks so much!

Christine,
Look at any of my pix in the March and April photo assignment thread or just follow the link in my siggy to my Project 365 page. They're all taken with the S3.

Here's a link to flickr photos taken with the S3. (http://www.flickr.com/cameras/canon/powershot_s3_is/)
This link goes to all Canon cameras on flickr, in case you want to compare. (http://www.flickr.com/cameras/canon/?nomodel=1)

Also, any suggestions for best place to purchase?I didn't answer this part. I got mine through the Amazon link on this site. The supplying store was J & R Music and Computer World. J & R may not have the best price, but they're great to deal with and won't try to sell you grey market merchandise which others on Amazon may try to do and they won't insist on calling you to "verify" (code for trying to hard sell you something else) your order again as others on Amazon will do.

All the photos from my most recent trip to WDW (http://www.pbase.com/tominpok/wdwfeb2008) were taken with an S3. I bought mine last year from Amazon.com. (I made sure that it came directly from Amazon and not one of their other sellers.)
Right now I don't see the S3 being offered directly from Amazon. I do see it on buydig.com (http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=CNPSS3) for $249. I've used buydig a couple of times in the past and haven't had any problems. I'm not sure if this is always the case, but for me, their free shipping shipped very quickly - I had the item within a few days.
