Ok this is the day we go and tour Full Sail college. I knew we were going to get lost so we were up and down to the resturant for breakfast and on the road by 8:30. I asked in guest services how to get there. Needless to say if you don't go and do the time share don't ask for directions  They said it was only 30 minutes away but we had to be there for 10 and we finally after asking a really cute police officer we drove in the parking lot at 9:55. My son freaking out thinking if we can't make it to an appointment on time they'll think I'm an idiot already. We finally get to addmissions and take the tour. There were three other families also looking at the school. We were very impressed and the school has the top equipment to train on. We looked in on some classes and no one was asleep in them so I guess thats a good sign. My son is ADD so there is no way he could go to typical college and do well. This school is very fast paced. He will have two classes for four weeks and then two more and on and on until he is done and there is no out side of class work so the homework problem I have had for 12 years will go away. We meet with his advisor and I go to get my check book to make the deposit and his appication and my check book and his appication are back at the hotel. My son freaks out again." Gee mom they are going to think my whole family doesn't have a brain". I say " Hey I'm not that dumb I got us here in the Daewoo". He didn't think that was funny. I told them I would put the check in the mail as soon as we got back to the hotel.
We then talk to financial aid. How does everyone pay? This is where our government is lacking. They push the kids to go on to college but don't put the resource there for them. I'm a single parent and we got next to nothing on the pell grant. What do people do that have more than one? This is the part that has been most fustrating for me. Most of the pople I know live week to week never mind thinking about sending the kids to college. OK I'm done moaning and groaning about that. They did however give me all the loan information we need. Then we talk to housing. They don't have on campus living but she did tell me that she would find an apartment for him. So I'm gonna let her so that. I got good vibes from her so I'm not gonna let myself worry about that. Gotta pick and choose what I'm gonna worry about. If I don't my brain will go into overdrive and that is not a good thing. :?
We are now done at the school and the boys want to go back and just relax at the pool. On the way back they wanted to stop at a 7eleven. Here in NH we only have maybe 5 of them in the whole state so I have never been in one. This is where I blew my WW pionts for the rest of my vacation. The boys get the frozen drinks and hotdogs and I have a frozen rasberry crystal lite and a bag of baked lays in my hand. I go by the case with the cookies. I kept the crystal lite but baked lays were gone and in its place was the white chocolate macedamia nut cookies. Not one but three of them. One cookie was 69cents and three for a dollar nineteen. What a bargain. They were so gooooooooood. I think I hit every 7eleven in fl after that .
We get back to the hotel and about 2, play in the pool for awhile. The boys are really acting like old men . They were pooped out . I asked them what they wanted to do the next day and they just wanted to sleep in and hang by the pool.
I decided that I was gonna need a book if we going to do that so my son and I decid to go to the flea market which was down the road from us. I love flea markets and bargains. My bf is a Miami Dolphin fan so I found him a really nice beach towel there. Got my niece a disney world bag only 6.99 and tshirt for her brother. I also pick up an extra bag to put all the stuff we bought. Only 6.99. What a deal. I always say I'm gonna pack an extra bag but never do. After roaming around and not finding a book we head off to Publix and pick up more snacks and water and soda and a book. I hate buying books. I always go to the library at home and I should have know better not to pack my books. We do a drive thu at Wendy's and are back at the hotel by 8 and we munch out and are in bed by 10 and tv off by 11.

I can surely relate to this chapter of your trip

Scamp is ADD also and we have had 12 years of constant struggle to have homework done - then when he does do the homework - he doesn't turn it in - arrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - or he won't write the assignment down - how convenient lol we started the teachers signing off on his assignment book years back - he was held back in 9th - so instead of being at his commencement ceremony last night we have another year to go - ackkkk - gee that will be a happy day when I don't have to think about assignments being turned in : )

Been there - done that - bought the flashcards!!
