Has anyone tried using the pre book online to get the excursions you want? We have picked ours out and want to make sure we get what we want, especially the stingray snorkeling.

Briar Rose, I didn't use the online system itself, but I called their 800 number and booked 60 days out from our cruise. We, too, wanted to insure we could do the stingray island tour and snorkeling. We also booked the day sail in Key West and the Ocean Explorer boat in Cozumel.
The excursion which seems to sell out the fastest on the Western cruise is the Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel.

FYI, check out www.shoretrips.com. They have all the same excursions that Disney does, but the prices are much better.
edited to add...
Apparently shoretrips.com site is down. Here is another excursion site that handles Disney excursions. http://grandcaymancruiseexcursions.com/DisneyMagic.htm I haven't really looked to far into their pricing, but they also appear to be cheaper then Disney.

in honor of Moley, I am taking the Lazy Butt way of this answer. It is one I copied from another post I made to Jutta.
We just sailed the W. Caribbean in June. In Grand Cayman we went with a private company for the Snorkle and Swim with the stingrays. The company was Nativeway WaterSports. It was half the cost of the Ship excursion and it was wonderful! They met us at the dock, took us in a van to the boat (with a little tour along the way) Supplied all the equipment, punch and water. The took us back to the pier.
During the swim, the crew was in the water with us, and even picked up stinrays for us to hold or photograph. They were quite personable, and I would not hesitate to go with them again. Sharon was who we made all our arrangements with at nativway@candw.ky . There website is http://www.nativewaywatersports.com/ The savings was significant, and I WILL use them again for our next Trip to Grand Cayman.
In Cozumel, Three of us went to Playa Sol on our own. Juts hopped a cab and off we went. It was $8 each to get in. They also have a package with meals and drinks (we passed on it). The DCL has an excursion there that includes a very nice buffet, and a roped off area for DCL guests. The beach was clean and the water heavenly.
Our older son went to the Myan Ruins at San Gervasio with the ships tour and other in our party. He found it very interesting and very hot! After the ruins, they stopped for a beach break and ended up at the same beach we were on! He ate there (we didn't) and said the food was good.
After the beach, we planned on having dinner in Cozumel, but the skies opened and it poured so we opted to stay on the ship. Our waiter on the Century was surprised we all came to dinner since we told him we were eating in town. He actually seemed thrilled we came though, we we had so much fun with him.

Tink, I remember your post to Jutta. It almost made me want to book the stingray excursion on my own, but not for this first cruise. Maybe next cruise. After we get our feet wet on this one, I think we will be braver and more spontaneous the next time. 8)

That was my thought too Moley. This will be our very first cruise and I guess it is much like our first trip to WDW. Not sure exactly what we are getting into LOL. The other way sounds fun though. I will forward on to DH and let him see what he thinks. Thanks for the input. I'm jumping up and down actually wishing it was October and I love summertime. Anticipation is the name of the game. :minnie:

It was actually very easy. We took the tender into Grand Cayman (every ship tenders in, none dock at the island). We walked up the ramp from the pier. When we got to the top of the pier, there was a guy standing with a sign for our group. BIG letters that said Nativeway and below it Magical Journeys (there were a bunch of us). They took over from there.
Email if you have any questions.

Thank you Nanci.
I showed DH the website and he was so excited at the thought of saving money and having a more personal experience. I think we will be booking with nativeway.
