I love WDW at night! The lights are so beautiful (especially at MK) and it is A LOT cooler in the spring and summer time.

DH and I have found that we really enjoy Test Track at night vs. in the afternoon. Something about it makes us feel like we are going faster and we love to cool breeze in the evening.

DO you have a favorite attraction to go to at night? If so, please share with us. We haven't done Tower at night, but that seems like it would be fun!

Tower of Terror!!! The queue area is so much more gloomier when it's dark.

I also like Splash Mountain & Big Thunder Mountain at night too, just because it's so pretty to everything all lit up.

I love doing BTMRR at night. I think that I actually see more of the attraction at night than during the day. This may be because things that the imagineer wants you to see are lighted, but during the day there's nothing to bring your eyes to it.

hi Suzy,

I also like just walking anywhere at Magic Kingdom in the evening, particularly through Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. And the castle always looks great lit up! :tink:

Just about every part of Epcot is pretty at night, too. My daughter and I get a kick out of the light patterns in parts of the sidewalks in Future World. Spaceship Earth bathed in blues and purple, with the dancing fountains all glowing, is another favorite sight.

Sandi, your description of Epcot at night almost had me packing my bags. Oh, I love it so much!

My favorite night-time "attraction" is the boats, especially between Epcot and MGM. But I'm another who thinks BTMRR is special then. I need to ride the railroad at MK at night!

The best thing was being on BTMRR when the fireworks were going off. It was amazing. Now we always ride BTMRR at night.

I absolutely adore the split second where the log pauses at the top of the mountain before you are flung into the Briar Patch. Its the most perfect view of the castle I have ever come across.

I am also a big fan of an evening ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Big Thunder.

Oooh - what about Haunted Mansion - I bet that is a goodie at night!

The Jungle Cruise is very cool at night! A different experience (except for the corny jokes!

I have to agree with the BTMRR and Splash, and the Jungle Cruise is also really cool at night. On an E night in 2001, my hubby and I decided to do HM. It was just us and one other couple waiting for the doors to be opened into the attraction. We waited and waited and waited. Finally, the other couple knocked on the door. This CM FLUNG that door open, said "how dare you knock on my door" and basically scared the crap out of me. It was funny later on, but at the time, I was shaking in my tennis shoes! ROFLOL!

The Haunted Mansion at night is GREAT! I can't believe I forgot to mention that one. Last trip, we rode HM in the middle of a really loud Friday night thunderstorm. Extra spookalicious!

BTMRR is AWESOME at night. A totally different experience. I also agree with Haunted Mansion - if you think you have done it and done it - - - - it is extra spooky at night! Also, as someone above said, just walking throught the MK at night is magical!!

Anywhere in Disney at night is beautiful. The Polynesian and the beach walk to the Grand Floridian, the castle changing colours, anywhere in any park at night but especially Animal Kingdom which you can't see anymore because they close early. It used to be open until 8pm and the Tree of Life all lit up from underneath is breathtaking. The World Showcase with the torches reflecting off the water, but my favourite night-time thing might just be Spectromagic. Sitting on the still warm pavement, singing along to the song...and the part where the lights all change to white gives me goosebumps!

LimeGreenCheri I can relate regarding the HM. I made the "mistake" of telling the fellow directing us onto the Doombuggies that it was OK, he could smile-which, of course, he didn't. As we were past the conveyor belt and just going into the ride (or so I thought...) he stuck his head around our buggie and yelled BOO in my face. I screamed and my daughter thought hearing her mother scream was hysterical!!!

I haven't done too many attractions at night (I usually wear myself out during the day I think- this summer I promise to make use of those night time hours). I did get a chance to ride TOT in the dark- with heat lightening going on- too cool.

Our family as well love BTMRR and Splash at night. As a matter of fact, we found that viewing the fireworks from the entrance to BTMRR was really good.

I think Splash at night is the best. I really like the section right after the beginning where you are going around the outside of the mountain and can see all across the park.

My favorite attraction at night?? That is a tough one. I DO love BTMRR at night, that is for sure. Jungle cruise is also more fun at night. I also like doing the people mover in Tommorow Land at night. Man, there are WAY too many night time attractions that are better. In fact, the entire park is just better in the dark. This may sound weird, but there is somthing about Pirates of the Carribean at night that I love. I KNOW its indoors and the ride is the same, but there is somthing about it. I always walk right on. Maybe b/c its SOOOO quiet in that part of the MK at night. Most people do PoC during the day and dont come back. There are no people parade watching either. So I think I will pick that as my favorite night time ride.

NOW, my favorite place to be at night is World Showcase, hands down! I can stand there all night long and be content. I love the feel of the place. Especially the torches burning. A funny thing is that I have never, ever had bad weather on a night that I did Epcot. In fact, every single night there has been absolutley perfect. We are talking at least 20 or 30 different nights here. That is pretty good. I wish I could say the same for my day visits to all the parks.

Hey, that just gave me an idea for a little poll:-)

Ooh - another one of my favorite nightime "quiet" spot is on the beach at Beach Club. We grab a few chairs and sit and watch the lights on the Boardwalk. Also, if you time it right, you can also catch the fireworks from Illuminations from there as well. Tres Romantique!! ;)

This is a good one.

It's true that BTMRR, Splash, and TZTOT are quite different at night than during the day.

As far as my favorite nighttime "attraction" it's almost a tie.

The #2 spot goes to the post Illuminations show. I'm with Den in agreeing about the torches and the music around World Showcase being something special. The TOD music adds to it.

But #1 until something like the 50 foot hologram of Walt (oops...you guys hear of that?) comes to WDW...my favorite is Kiss Goodnight! at The Magic Kingdom.

Only those who have seen it will understand.

I just love walking around the MK at night - it takes on an extra-magical feel. My favorite night rides are Pirates (I know, it's an inside ride, but like Den said it just feels different at night), Haunted Mansion (of course, that's my favorite ride anytime), and the Carousel. Go ahead and laugh, but I adore riding the Carousel at night!
