Does anyone have any favorites when it comes to last minute PS at a Character meal? Which meal was it? Did you go early or late? We've got 2 schedueled, but I'm thinking we might try for another one if time allows.

We've done this a few times at the Crystal Palace. What we'll usually do is call from City Hall Guest Relations and get our seating

I have to agree with Andy, we rarely walk up to character meals, but we have done it with the Crystal Palace. We also call from City Hall. Hey Andy!! Are you reading my mind??

Bernard and I have often walked in to the great breakfast at the Beach Club when we've been staying there. But we've been going in the quiet season when there's often seating available especially for just a twosome.

However, I have a motto--if you don't ask, you won't get! Let us know if it works!

And I can't believe your countdown. Time to start turning into LimeGreenWithEnvyBianca.

We have had some good experiences with the 'Ohana character breakfast at the Poly. About 50/50 walking up and making a PS the night before. It is a good breakfast and love the atmosphere.

We used to be able to just walk into the breakfast at Olivia's at the OKW, but I guess that is why they stopped it. Now they just have breakfast there.

Hi Cheri:

Never tried to walk up to a character meal and get in but now that we're going in early Dec. again it may be very possible to do. Of course, if you're going anytime now through end of summer, I think you'd better get ressies for the character meals you REALLY want to see.

With Easter and Spring break etc., it's not as easy to just walk-in but it can't hurt to try and you may get surprised!!!

Let us know if you try and if you get lucky.

Like Miss Bianca we've gone "walk-in" for Cape May Cafe's breakfast when we've stayed at BCV on our last two trips. We had no problem whatsoever since a) in both cases it was an oddball time (right when they opened or close to closing), and b) it was off-season (late Jan first time, early Dec second time.

I've done 1900 PF and also CP character breakfasts and I have to say
Cape May is probably my favorite. It's just way more laid back and fun. Goofy, Chip & Dale, and Minnie are in attendance in their beach wear. It think we've probably had the most fun with character interactions there.

Sadly the fine folks at Disney have still not siezed upon my idea for a Boma beefcake character breakfast featuring Tarzan and Hercules.

 VillianGirl that's the best idea I've heard in a long time! Here I've been thinking they needed one with the characters from Lion King but your idea was sooooooooo much better!

I want Kronk there, he's the underappreciated sidekick of the baddie in The Emporer's New Groove. He speaks "squirrel" so he'll fit right in at the AKL.

:happytears: VillianGirl - love that idea! and yes MissB - Kronk would be a good addition! Maybe they could throw in Jessica Rabbit to keep the menfolk happy!

What was the question? LOL

We used to walk up to Hollywood and Vine for the character breakfast all the time. We must have eaten there half a dozen times never a PS - it was off season and 2 of us.
We have also walked up to Donald's Breakfastsaurs twice - once early and once at the end of breakfast time - once again off season and 2 people. In December we also walked up to CP for Breakfast one rainy Sunday morning - no waiting - straight in! We have a walked up to Garden Grille before but have had to wait a while and that was before Candlelight Procession dinner packages in Dec - not sure you could do that now - anytime.
