Day Five (Wednesday, 5/7). Another lazy day. Sorry to bore you with this mostly relaxing trip to WDW. TV for a while in the morning, SAB was our pool choice today. Much less crowded than Sunday -- in fact, hardly any one there. We had our choice of chairs. Nap time again in the afternoon. Went to Uno's at Crossroads for dinner (this is a must for us since we are originally from Chicago and loved to go to the original Uno's (or sister restaurant, Due's). The pizza in Charlotte where we live now is not really pizza to us, and we enjoy Uno's even tho the franchise food is not as good as the original. Instead of pizza this time, (mainly because we had pizza twice already), we decided to order the Shrimp Scampi. I order scampi often, and this was really good and only $12.99 as I recall. We drove back to BCV, parked the car and took the boat over to BW to Shoreside Sweets (I think that is the right name??). Time to buy our ice cream cones, carmel apples with nuts and Disney rice krispie treats (another must for us at WDW). We got back to our room just in time to see who got voted off Idol and munch on a few snacks.
Day Six (Thursday, 5/8). Pool time at SAB in the morning. Lunch at Beaches & Cream. DH got turkey sandwich (at B&C??) and I got a hot dog instead of my usual cheesburger. Onion rings, of course -- and we shared a chocolate malt. They are so good, and I don't know where else in the world I can find a malted milk. After the first time we each ordered our own malt many years ago, we now split one because they are so big and filling. Quiet and cool off time in the room after lunch -- those 93 & 94 degree temperatures can wear you down, but NO RAIN!!!! We went back over to BW to buy gifts for family at home and bought a few things at the BC gift shop (too lazy to fight the crowds at DD). Leftover Scampi and salads from Hurrican Hannah's for dinner. Then time to pack up and watch Survivor to see who got voted off there. I am a huge fan of both Idol and Survivor and now that one is over and the other one is almost over, I guess I won't be watching TV any more for a while. DH will be able to watch all the "Buffy, the Vampire Killer" reruns that he wants.
