Stitch's Escape Rumor: Could be a early June soft opening!

The lastest rumor (and ONLY a rumor) is that Stitches Great Escape (that is replacing Alien Encounter) could go into Soft Opening by early June! :)

I'd love to check this out in July, so I'll keep hoping this rumor pans out! :)

I don't mean to be terribly ignorant, but can you explain what you mean by "soft opening"? We are going in June and would absolutely love to hear the news it is running.

A Soft opening is when usually a new or re-habed attractions is not "offically" open but it opens a few hours randomly to "test" the attraction! A Sneak Peek so to speak!

Early is great, just so they don't close down COP prematurely because of the opening. :sun:

As of last week there was no official word on even CM soft openings. Usually the CM soft openings are conducted one to two months before the official opening of an attraction.

I did hear that July 17th could be an important day....historically that day has seen the Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain open up to guests...but not necessarily as an official opening.

Hey, I like that date too. We're heading down for the weekend and checking into Coronado Springs for 1 night. We'll be spending that Saturday at Blizzard Beach but I'm sure we'll be heading over to MK on Sunday. I'd love to ride Stitch :D
