Day Three (Monday, 5/5). We had breakfast at the Gallery at the YC this morning. Mickey waffle and bacon for me and pancakes and bacon for DH. This breakfast cost about $30-$35 for the two of us and was not nearly as enjoyable as the one we had at Mara at AKL. After we ate, we took the boat to the BW Bakery and got some of their wonderful pasteries to have on hand in our room. We went to the quiet pool at BCV today instead of SAB. Didn't want to spend too much time in the sun after DH got really red yesterday. We went to a movie at DD in the afternoon ("Bringing Down the House" which I thought was very funny), and we got filled up on popcorn. Stopped at the Gourmet Pantry at DD and got a couple of chef salads. Brought those back to the room and had them with the leftover pizza. Another quiet evening -- tv, reading and fireworks. As stated before, this was planned as a very relaxing vacation after a lot of stress at home with my mom who has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and other family problems and illnesses. Only one park day planned and that is tomorrow.
Day Four (Tuesday, 5/6). Pastries from BW for breakfast. Walked over to Epcot around 9:30. Our plan was to eat lunch and dinner here with a pool break between the two meals. Went to Future World. First trip thru Ice Station Cool and my first taste of Beverly. I was excited about that! Beverly was not as bad as I expected expect for the after taste. Flower and Garden Show was on, and there were many fantastic topiaries. Took lots of pictures of them. Went to Universe of Energy and did the dinosaur ride with Ellen. We both enjoy this attraction. Then we took off for World Showcase. The park had VERY few people in it which is probably why the ferryboat service over to WS from FW was drastically cut. Instead of having 2 boats going from the two different docks at WS & FW, there was only one boat that went clockwise around the water. Very long ride to get to the other side, so we decided to walk. Had lunch at Lotus Blossom Cafe in China (fried rice and egg rolls). Did the Norway boat ride. Then had a second lunch right on top of the first one when we got to Germany (bratwurst and apple strudel). Shortly after that we came to the funnel cake stand and had to have those, too. I ate mine walking back to BCV and collapsed in a carbohydrate coma when we got back. Nap time again! Too full for dinner. We took the bus over to Spectro at MK around 6:30. Thank goodness they now have separate buses for BW/BC and Swan/Dolphin because our bus going to MK was very crowded. Luckily we got seats. I hate the new buses -- seems like much less sitting room. Took the train to Frontierland for the parade and were lucky again when we got seats on some front porch there. Spectro was great as were the fireworks. We had planed to take the train back to the entrance again, but it had stopped running so we joined what seemed to be about 100,000 people trying to get out of the park. What a difference from Epcot! We managed to get on the third bus going back to BCV, altho I think we cut in line. It was so crowded at the bus stop that you really couldn't tell who was in line for what bus. One big mass of humanity, but we got back about 10:30 which was not bad. And that was our park day. We have been going to WDW for so many years that we don't do a lot of attractions unless we have newbies or little ones with us.
