Day Two (Sunday, 5/4) Today we moved to BCV, so after eating the yummy breakfast mentioned in Day One, we checked out of AKL at 10:30 a.m. and were on our way to BCV. Made a stop at a nice new Winn-Dixie on 535 (thanks for the directions, Tagrel!) and stocked up on groceries for our studio, except for perishables because we knew we probably would not get into our room until 3 or 4. There was an ABC store in the same shopping center, and we bought a few things there, too. Very convenient location. Arrived at BCV around 1 pm and the room was not ready. No problem because we had packed a bag with swim suits, etc. We changed in the facilities next to Beaches & Cream and grabbed the last two empty lounge chairs at SAB. It was VERY crowded there, and it was also VERY hot (93 degrees). The pool water felt wonderful. We encountered torrential rains on our last two trips to WDW so we were delighted that there was no rain on this trip -- above normal temps (93 & 94 all week), but that 's what pools are for! Had some ice cold pina coladas at poolside, (about $7 each -- well worth it!)
Checked again to see if the room was ready at 3 pm, and it was. Thank goodness because we were getting fried outside. We were in Room 244 -- not much of a view (a few trees and then the traffic on Epcot Resorts Blvd.), but we had a great view of the Epcot fireworks every night. We had requested a smoking room, but there were no more left. They said we could smoke on the balcony which was fine. We were close to the parking lot (thanks again, Tagrel) and the quiet pool. Once we got in the room, we didn't want to go anywhere. We ordered a pizza from room service later. Lots of cheese and good crust -- but VERY LITTLE sausage and peppers which were the extras that we paid for. $27 for the pizza, including delivery & tip -- but it lasted for two nights -- very filling. I did not think the room was as small as I have heard, and the decorations in the room and throughout the resort were absolutely beautiful. Once reason I love Disney! Also, our room was immaculately clean.
