Just Upgraded from PC to WL

Tink23 and I had reservations at Pop Century in early May for our getaway. We've been going back and forth as to whether to spend the extra dollars and upgrade to either POFQ (stayed there twice and really enjoyed it) or WL (stayed there twice also and "loved" it.) I really wanted to stay at WL again particularly since I prefer the MK resorts and location.

WL has been booked solid for the Visa pkg. :cry: I decided for the heck of it to call today and just see if anything opened up and it did!! :joyDance: Thanks to Karen's help at YMJ (gotta love these gals), we are now officially booked at WL. I'm smiling ear to ear! :D

Tink23 is at school this morning and I cannot wait to share the good news. She is going to be so thrilled. :hug:

Good for you. I've got to tell you I'm envious. One day I'd like to stay at WL. So when you do your trip report I'll be looking forward to reading all about it.

If you ever the opportunity to stay there, do so. We've been there twice and though Poly holds my heart, WL has always been an extreme favorite of mine. We've been hoping to get back there (stayed there in 2000/2001) and we are so excited. This resort is just beautiful and something to behold. I'd always hoped to stay there at X-mas time and see all the beautiful decorations. Who knows--maybe someday!

Woo Hoo that is great.Wonderful hotel.Insted of telling her when she gets home from school,surprise her when you get there.Let her think for the nexk 47 days that your staying at PC,then watch her face as you pull into WL.Wouldn't that be great.the furst bit of magic for her.

WL is our favorite also and we got to see the Christmas decorations last December. You'll have a fantastic trip coming up. If you can hold out, I'd save the change in resorts as a surprise when you get there.

Oh I agree don't tell her about the change. I did just this to my then 13yr old son 2 yrs ago. He thought we were staying at Coronado Springs but I ended up getting a great deal so changed our reservation to Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was so cool to see his face. I made up a story that our friend Cruella was staying there & she needed us to pick up a package before we checked into CS. I even wrote a little note on our reservation to hand to the guard to keep the secret for me. My son had no idea until we got to the desk & even then didn't believe me. It was hard to keep that secret but oh so much fun. It maybe harder for you since Tink23 reads here, right?

I'm not surprised that the YMJ team made magic happen for you, but I am glad for you. I can tell how excited you are! I'm in the WL fan club, too.

Also, if it's not too late to add my vote for this scheme, I agree with those who suggested waiting to tell your daughter. Either way, it's a fun surprise! Happy countdown to you!
