Has anyone here done this tour? It seems very similar to the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at WDW. I have done the Keys tour and loved it, but am wondering if they are different enough to merit another $50 at DL.

Here's some information on it from Laughing Place.com
A Walk in Walt's Footsteps
A tour of the Disneyland that Walt Disney knew. This tour was created for the guest who's already familiar with the Park and is interested in some of its history and little details. Included in the tour are:

A peek into the lobby of Club 33
A visit to The Enchanted Tiki Room prior to a show to get a close-up look at the show and its history
A "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" pin
Lunch on the balcony of the Disney Gallery
Along the way your tour guide will tell stories about Disneyland and Walt Disney himself. The price for the tour is $49 per person (all ages). The price does not include park admission. It may be booked up to 30 days in advance. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours. There is a limit of 15 guests per tour. For reservations, call 714-781-4400. For more information about this and other Disneyland tours, call 714-817-2299.

Thanks!

Hi ransom!

This tour has always peaked my interest. My guess is there will be some similar things to Keys of the Kingdom and some very unquic things.

And like BarbD said - If you do take the tour, then please let us know about it.

:D We recently did this tour on our last trip to DL in April.
We did have a very knowledgeable guide and found it very interesting.
We've been to DL many times, and still found it to be full of fun facts.
The peek into the lobby Of Club 33 was fun!
The artwork is lovely!
We got a special showing of the Tiki room show and some interesting information about early anamatronics.
Lunch was in the patio of the Gallery-part of the apartment Walt was creating for his family when he passed.
We had our choices of cold lunches. And our guide ate with us and this probably was the most fact filled time of the tour.
The time flew by and at the end we were given a really nice pin-with the picture of Walt walking out of the Castle.
