Shelly, I shipped the prototype of your Bud Vase by UPS today. Promised delivery is the 22nd. I'm mainly concerned about the height you need. The finished version may have slightly different geometry and glazing. Although I will try my best to keep it in the color range you're after.

Cool sounds good to me. Just remember coffee will be on the way back to you when the vase is done. Whatever the vase turns out to be is fine with me Andy. I am not that picky. I promise. I just hope you are getting lots of practice by doing this. :D Oh isn't that coffee good????????????????? Ahhh intoxicating just to smell. I'm salivating so I have to go. lol

The coffee's great Shelly. It's a good thing I made an experimental pot for myself tho. I have to play with the grind and add some more beans to make it stronger. The other coffee drinker in the house likes her brew STRONGER then me :)

Yep it is great. Glad that you are experimenting with it. Oh I have made it strong before. Whoo took lots of creamer to get that coffee to be palatable to me again. Yeah add a couple of extra scoops of beans and you should be good to go for the other drinker.

Thanks for the tip Shelly. Extra creamer in it to soften it a tad eh? :). I'll try one strong pot for the two of us next weekend. I'm an insomniac already......so how can ALL THAT caffeine hurt :) ??

Great minds think alike. I too am an insomniac. I am so a night owl. I use to joke with people the only way I ever see a sunrise is if I have been up all night. I don't do mornings well. I am way too addicted to coffee but won't give it up. I love it too much.

You're addicted to coffee.?? :)Heck we must both go thru a lot of bean then. :) IT's not unusual for us to go thru 5 or more pots here a day :)

Wow ok well then y'all beat me but I do go through a lot of beans. I usually have about 3 pounds put away and will go through those in a week or two. Y'all drink way more coffee than me. If I had that much I would be way too jittery, or I would be sound asleep. Caffeine does funny things with me. If I don't have enough it will make me sleepy or if I have too much then I am more hyper than a kid on sugar. :minnie::minnie::minnie::minnie::minnie::minnie:Fu nny how this thread started about the bud vase and it now is all about coffee, coffee, and more coffee. :coffee::coffee3:

Plenty game on it Shelly. I'll play around with some ideas. Since I'm learning it's the same deal. Just pay shipping. Any other cost I'll absorb.

Andy,
I received the prototype in the mail today. I love it. I don't know what else you were planning on making because this vase is fine with me. How much do I owe you? Is this for me to keep or to look at and send back to you? Ok gotta go back downstairs and work on a cake for today. Good luck on your entries to the contest.

No money for the bud vase Shelly but I wouldn't turn down oatmeal cookies :) Glad you liked the vase. Keep it as a gift, OK. I'll move on to your coffee server then. BTW how do you brew your coffee? in a Mr Coffee type machine or perculator?

Ahh thanks. Oatmeal cookies it is. I will have to find our thread on this and remember if you liked raisins or not. Or would you just like the same ones as before? I grind my beans in a Braun grinder that I have had since the early 90's. I have the Mr.Coffee pot that has part stainless steel on the front. Got it recently at COSTCO for 29.99. I love this coffee pot. Before I had the one that Gevalia gives you when you buy beans from them. That pot lasted a while. When I got my new coffee pot I sent my old one to dh's office for our office staff. Hey they needed a new pot and I had just gotten a new one. Win win. I even have a small 4 cup pot up here in my master bathroom. I bought it for our trip to WDW because values don't have coffee makers. I will not live without my coffee while on vacation. So when we got back home I decided to use the little one upstairs. I am not a morning person and have never been a morning person. So I need all the help I can get with caffiene.
Oldest daughter (Allison 11) has some friends over so I guess I have to be a responsible mom and get off the computer and keep an eye out.
Thanks again for the vase.

OK I'll plan the serving pot for your brewing style then Shelly. The cookies?? Make the same Butterscotch ones. I can get oatmeal raisen ones easily enough . Something different is always appreciated :)
