Room with a view

Thinking about my WL woodsview room got me thinking about rooms with a view. When you are booking your Disney resort, do you choose an upgraded view or do you just choose a standard room?

A lot of that decision depends on where I am staying. I am not big on paying extra for a view because I am hardly at the resort for most trips. Our last trip to WL I did want to be over the courtyard, but not really for the view. I wanted to be able to open the slider and hear the little waterfalls. It was a slice of heaven.

Also, more important then view to me is location. We don't rent a car, so I like to be near the main buildings and bus stop when it matters. SOme resorts are pretty sprawled out.
