Lime Green Cheri posted the following in the Catch All Forum. I thought it was such a great proposition that I'd post it here but apply the guidelines to DisneyLand instead of DisneyWorld. Those of us who have been to DL know its a whole other ball of wax.

Today, I'm dreaming of and wishing I were at Disney. So, let's close our eyes and imagine our day. You'll be picked up at your home by a limo and wisked away to a private jet. You can take one person with you. When you arrive in Orlando, Gregory from Quicksilver will be waiting with the super stretch limo. You may spend the whole day and only one night. The rest is up to you and money is NO object

So, what would YOUR day be like?

For Disneyland I would have to take my friend Lisa. She is the one I travel to WDW with most often but we met up in DL last August. It was her first trip to DL and she absolutely fell in love with the park and likes the CA weather much better. Since most of Tomorrowland was down for that trip we could use a "do over."
We'd stay at the Disneyland Hotel, no bones about it. Because character meals are more limited here than at WDW we'd have to start the day with breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen to get all those great photo Ops with the characters. After breakfast its off into Disneyland to start the day. With it being a smaller park I tend to be much less commando at DL. I love the train ride here and usually like to get a park map then head to the train and ride the entire loop while I mark up my map with what I want to do that day. Of course I'll need a photo snapped in front of the Partners Statue - a must for all Disney trips. Then its off to Neverland...er, I mean Fantasyland.
Fantasyland is my favorite land at its so much better at DL. Peter Pan is always the first ride for us, then probabl multiple ridings of Alice In Wonderland. We both love this ride and can't get enough of it. Then a quick dash over to the Matterhorn before the lines get too long. Have to ride this 2x - once on each side to get the full effect. Since we are headed in that direction we really should do Its A Small World - again so much better here. If we luck out we can see the clock put on its show while we are in line. After IASW we will definately check out the new Snow White stage show. After the show we finish up FantasyLand by riding the teacups (like the uncovered version at DL better than roofed version at WDW), Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Pinocchio & The Storybook Land Canal Boats.
WOW! What a morning. Makes a girl kind of hungry. May as well head over to Club 33 for my special reservation. We ride the French Lift and have the most wonderful meal ever. I would tell you more about the food and decor but this IS a private club you know. - Don't want to spill the secrets.
After lunch we'd ride Splash Mountain and Pooh before heading over to Big Thunder Mountain. Of course we stop and ride Pirates along the way as well as spend some time checking out the latest exhibit at the Disney Gallery. I definately buy those 1960s style attraction posters I had in my hands several times in August and failed to purchase. After riding the newly refurbished BTMRR we catch the show at the Saloon then its off to Tomorrowland.
Know what at WDW ace I am the imagineers will probably want be to test the new Buzz Lightyear attraction they are putting in at DL. Of course I oblige them. I also get to test those new tracks they are putting in Space Mountain for the upcomming 50th Anniversary. That's about all I am interested in seeing in Tomorrowland and since we are so close to the front gates we head on over to DCA.
Of course with it being so close to the entrance and quite possibly my favorite Disney attraction ever, we beeline for Soarin' Over California. Next up is the Aladdin show followed by quick trip onto Grizzly River Run. ...and we are out of there!
Before heading back to Disneyland I want to stop off at Basin at Downtown Disney. I made the neatest candles out of wax pellets there last time and I'd love to make some more. I also wouldn't mind making a few more purchases at some of the other shops and just having the merchandise shipped home rather than lugging it back on the plane with me.
Once back in Disneyland its off to Adventureland. A visit to the Tiki Birds then a dole whip is a nice break before riding Indiana Jones and the Jungle Cruise. From there I'd cross over into New Orleans Square and ride Pirates again in preparation for dinner at the Blue Bayou. My table would be close to the water and I would relish every minute of being there. After a satisfying meal of crab cakes I'd have to make haste to get to the Disney Gallery for my Fantasmic Dessert Buffet and balcony seating for the show. After the show I'd probably stake out a place to watch the second showing before shopping my way down Main Street and out of the park.

Oh what a day!

One Magical Day at Disneyland :D -- Thanks Stinkerbelle for posting this in here. I was about ready answer it DL in the WDW thread!

I would take my goddaughter. She and I have been planning since she was 2 years old but alas we have never convinced her parents to let her go - not educational enough! But only one night and one day - I think we can swing it! :winking:

We would arrive very early in the morning to be able to get in the second the park opens. To introduce my happy place to her, we would start with a nice stroll down Main Street and into Fantasyland. Of course Mickey :girlears: would be waiting for me as he knows that I am coming and bringing a very special guest. It would be his turn to finally met my DGD after hearing about her for years! :winking:

In Fantasyland we would hit Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad, a trip on Casey’s Circus Train, maybe Dumbo - her choice, and then to the Tea Cups. Of course stopping to get either Mickey Ears or Princess hats or maybe both - how ever the magic moves us. After all of that it would be time for a bite to eat. Over to the Plaza Inn for a breakfast buffet and some character picture time, autograph’s and some good, fun, laughter!

Now it is time to shop our way to the left side of the park and take on Adventureland, New Orleans Square, FroniterLand, and Critter Country; Tiki Room, Indiana Jones Adventure, PoC, HM, Splash Mtn, maybe Winnie the Pooh, then back to Big Thunder Mtn. Of course more shopping as we move from attraction to attraction as we go. We may need to grab a snack here or there along the way! And if we do not need a break then we will head over to Mickey’s ToonTown via Fantasyland to hit Storybook Canal boats, Small World, and then on to Roger Rabbit, and to have tea with Mickey in his house.

It should be about mid-afternoon now and time for our late lunch/early dinner at Blue Bayou. A table right at the railing has been reserved and is waiting for us. After a relaxing meal in an enchanting place, we will be ready to catch the train back to the Main Street Station and check in to our park view, two bedroom suite at the Disney’s Grand California Hotel. ( :partytime: Heck this is suppose to be a fantasy right?!?! ) For this would never happen in my reality! We would take a little break for an hour or so. Then head back to DL, and over to Tomorrowland. We would make one stop on the way. A stop at Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Over to Space Mtn, then to Honey I shrunk the Audience, and over to Matterhorn. At this time, we would need to stop and re-group to see if there was anything we wanted to do again. My guess - Indiana, Splash, and the Jungle Cruise. Did I mention we have all day, any time we want to ride, fast passes - fantasy right?!?

Then it would be about time to grab our seats for Fantasmic. We have reserved seats of course. After Fantasmic we would walk over towards the Castle catch the fireworks. Then the day would be just about complete. Just one more thing to do. Grab a Fritter, Mint julep and catch the last train around the park back to Main Street. A final deep breath and a fond farewell and back to our room for phone calls to the parents, a nice night cap for me and hot chocolate for her.

The morning would be spent leisurely waking up, sitting and watching the park, and a breakfast at Storytellers Café before the Limo for Quicksilver West comes and takes us back to our private jet and back to reality!

Ok - I can make it a few more months now before I have to go to Disney - Thanks LGCheri and Stinkerbelle
