Just took pics of two ornaments I made for my stepson and his fiance. His has golf stuff on it that was for scrapbooking. His fiance Holly has pastry items on it as she's the pastry chef. They have pictures on both sides.

This is a pic of some polish pottery I bought on QVC last week.

This is the present I wrapped for my red hat secret sister. I used alum. foil to cover the boot box and then added my gifts and used all the red hat glitter stick-ons I had.

Very nice Cindy. Is that some sort of decoupage treatment for the graphics or ceramic decals?

For some of the ornaments I used just stick on's from scrapbooking materials to go along with their occupation. the red hat ones I used red hat buttons and removed the backing so it would lay flat. The BUNCO ones I used real dice. For DD's ornament I used a stand up camera made for scrapping.

All as simple as I could make it.

P.S andy, what do you know about Polish pottery? The one in pic is my first piece.

The handled basket with the blue flowers you mean? It looks beautiful IMO. Maybe transfer printing on it?? I wish I was more of a ceramic historian to say for certain about the techniques used.

Andy,
The Polish pottery comes with a cd showing how it's made. the bottom of the piece has the date and limited edition and the number of my piece and where in Poland it's made along with the name of the artist. The CD shows the lady making a pattern on pieces of paper and then transferring each part of it to a foam type material. She then dips the pattern in paints and adds each part of every flower one piece at a time throughout the whole piece. Interesting CD.
It's not cheap pottery but I wanted to try one and the colors are so bright that I might save up for another piece some time.

The only thing you might want to do is try one of the over the counter lead test kits on it Cindy. It would show if the basket is food safe in case you wanted to put some fruit, etc in it. Otherwise it's fine to use decoratively.
