Faxed Room Request - Should I Call Too???

We booked through Karen with YMJ and she put our room request info in the reservation. I also faxed over a letter on Tuesday evening (we check in on 2/21). Should I call to make sure they received the fax too or would that really be overkill??

We leave in less than 48 hours - can you tell I am trying to think of every last detail!

I've never followed up on a fax myself, I think you've pretty much covered the bases! :) Best of luck on getting those requests filled! I've had a pretty good history with faxes in the past.

I think you should be all set. Since room requests can't be guaranteed anyway, you wouldn't want to appear too overzealous. I'm sure if they can get it for you they will, I know I've never had too much of a hassle. And, I have found that often times magic happens best when you least expect it. So, try and relax before the big trip. Things will be great. Can't wait to hear the details when you get back!

I wouldn't worry about calling either. Basically, plan on getting the room that you reserved and hopeful to be in an area that is preferable. I good idea is to think of alternative areas that you would like to stay in (example: If I faced CBR and requested Jamaica, I also know that I would be happy in Aruba or other areas). I take the alternatives with me, so that if I don't happen to get assigned the room that I requested, I know off-hand where esle I would prefer to be and the CM will generally help you get in there if there are rooms.

Thanks everyone. I am just going to relax now and let the magic happen! I have done all that I can do and now I am ready to enjoy all we have planned!! Let the fun begin... (in less than 24 hours we should be checking in at the resort)
