its a long story but what discounts are being offered with the disney visa? i called today to make a reservation, the cast member mentioned something about if i had the disney visa something about a 7 day stay discount? or special or something? she said she didnt have the info that i needed to call bank one, then they gave me a number , needless to say i went in circles??? argh. the only thing i found out is if i have the card they have the if u book a vacation they will extend the 0% finance for an additional 6 months, and the kids stay free thing still. no help, it will be my mom and i. wondering if anyone knew about this 7 day mystery discount, or if it expired? or anything???i have a meeting at the bank on saturday, maybe i will have more answers then?

Hi Missy!

I've read that NEW Disney Visa members can get a package deal that is like last years FairyTale package (pay full price for 4 nights + UPH, and get 3 free, but people that have been able to get the deal say that you HAVE to have the Silver dining/wishes package (I know ZERO about packages!) as well, so the cost is just about back where it started. I have NOT been able to find anywhere that explains the deal directly though, and it isn't (or wasn't when I checked) on the Disney Visa Site.

Many current Disney VISA holders are annoyed that this only applies to new applicants - but with the add on package its not that great a deal.

Two DIS threads that talk about this: thread1 (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=511300&highlight=%2BDisney+%2Bvisa+%2Bsilver+%2Bpackage)

thread 2 (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=510507&highlight=%2BDisney+%2Bvisa+%2Bsilver+%2Bpackage)

Well, let me take this opportunity to say "Welcome!" :minnie:

Like Dave, I can't find anything 'current' on the DisneyVisa website that mentions that type of deal. :( Here is what I read on their website:

Right now when you purchase a non-discounted Walt Disney WorldŽ Dream Maker™ Package with your Disney's VisaŽ Credit Card from Bank One, for each adult on the package, one child (ages 3-9) plays free in all four Disney theme parks.** PLUS you receive 100 Disney Dollars provided at check-in. Four-night minimum.
Hurry! Book by 1/2/04!

Package is available at selected Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort hotels for stays most nights between January 4 and June 12, 2004. Number of packages available for this promotion is limited. You must apply for your Disney's Visa Card by December 1, 2003. In addition, you must be approved by Bank One, receive your Disney's Visa Card, and book your package by January 2, 2004. Deposit required at time of booking.

Keep your eyes open on these boards as there always seems to be all kinds of great info on finding discounts and trip ideas.

Glad to have you!
