Effective August 5th, ticket prices have increased at Walt Disney World. A single park, single day ticket with tax is now $75.62. Full details and pricing online.

This is lovely - Disney has now eliminated the advance purchase discount on all tickets, so the price increase is actually more than it appears.

It's bit disheartening for those who aren't here for a long time. My FIL is coming to visit us, we won't be taking him to disney. He can practically get an annual pass at any other park for the 2 days he'd pay to go to Disney parks.

For me, it doesn't make much of a difference. I get my use out of my AP.

luvthattink, I agree when my sister was here she wanted to go one day to WDW. She actually was seriously considering going to one of those time share presentations for the free ticket. (She heard about it when we stopped at one of those ticket booths at the outlet mall.)

Disney is missing out on the one day guest, visiting Florida and not associated with a conference that sells discounted tickets.

All they need to do is limit the number of guest tickets a Florida resident can buy (they probably fear they'd end up on ebay) and require the guest to be accompanied by the Florida AP holder.
