I just got the okay to book a trip for this July from my hubby. We will be going for two weeks in July and so far we know we want to spend the last week at the YC. I was thinking of staying at PC for the first week, but have not read many good reviews on it. So now I'm thinking of doing a moderate for the first week. So far we have stayed at CBR and CRS, with CRS being our favorite moderate. My parents stayed at POFQ when we were all there in 2002, and the kids liked the pool. So now I'm trying to decide between CRS and POFQ. We really love CRS, but I'd love to try all of the resorts at least once.
What can you tell me about POFQ to that may sway my decision more towards that? What are you oppinions about the food court there?
I'd appreciate anything you can tell me about your experience staying here. Thanks.

I very much loved PO-FQ when we stayed there! It has been a few years and at least two "renovations" since. But here are some of my favorite things about my favorite moderate resort!
1) the size - no room is too far from any other place.
2) the pool looks to be great fun for kids of all ages
3) the boat ride to DD and then also to PO-R
4) I loved the cobble streets and gas lights - really had a feel of magic there
5) Begits (of however you spell it )
6) Food court was standard to me at the time - did have a good bakery though!
7) the CM through out the resort were friendly, helpful, and very good at their jobs!
Don't know if that helps or not! Just my 2 cents!

I agree with BetsyAnn completely! We stayed there twice and we thoroughly enjoyed this resort. I liked the small, serene, quaint feeling it had. The pool is just awesome. My kids loved it. I particularly liked the boat ride to DD especially in the early evening as the sun begins to set. I found the transportation to be great, the CM's were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Sheryl, I recommended this resort to our mutual friend and her family just loved it there. They were very happy with this resort for pretty much the same reasons we were. I think your boys would really enjoy it there.

PO-FQ was the very first onsite resort we ever stayed. I love that it only has 7 buildings, you are the 1st bus stop so very rarely if ever have to stand, Rooms & Food Court have been remodeled, the funny names of some of the streets, the cobblestone streets, the boat to Downtown Disney. The only reason we stopped staying there was the Pool, while it is one cool looking pool my son sort of outgrew it. He just did not think the slide was daring enough. Now I think we can go back because the pool is not as important to him as it was when he was 8 or 9. The upside though is you can use the many pools at Riverside. Good luck deciding.

Thank you ladies,
I think we will give POFQ a try. I really like the fact that it is newly remodeled, and we did get to swim in the pool one night when my parents stayed there. I asked my 3 guys here and they say let's try POFQ.
Disneyfanatic, I forgot that Moe and her family stayed there. But you are right, I remember they loved it there. I've had her on my mind alot lately, knowing how hard losing her dad was for her.
I appreciate your help ladies. Thank you.

This is my favorire moderate. You get 2 themed pools, 2 food courts and a sit down restaurant. Actually the walk to POR from POFQ is no futher than walking from the ranchos to El Centro at CS. We will post a report when we get back about the refurbishment of the rooms. We will be staying there when they open on March 21!! WOW Sheryl 2 weeks at WDW!!!! That is wonderful!! Have a ball planning.

DH and I stayed at PO-FQ. And we really enjoyed it. The hotel is not very big. So you don't have a long walk to the main building. Our room was nice and clean. The Food Court was standard. They did have a good bakery though.

Of all the moderates, POFQ is my favorite, we are booked for December and I am already counting the days, 292 to be exact. The resort seems central to everything and the boat to Downtown is an added bonus. As mentioned, the resort is not that big so getting around is easy. I don't think you can wrong with your choice.

The French Quarter has one of the best slides at the pool. Kids love this one!
