Which tours have you taken at WDW? Did you enjoy it? And which ones would you like to go on?
DH and I went on the Yuletide Fantasy Tour. It was very enjoyable. Christmas at WDW is our favorite time of year. So it only seemed natural to take the holiday tour.
In Oct we want to take Behind the Seeds Tour.
I would like to take one of the Magic Kingdom Tours in the future. But, hopefully I can do a tour of each park one day.

DD, I have always wanted to take the Yuletide Fantasy one. Unfortunately in all the trips we have been, I've yet to go on a tour.

I have taken the Keys to the Kingdom tour, and enjoyed it very much. Lots of info, and it was fun seeing some behind the scenes areas like the Utilidors and where they keep the parade floats.
Next, I hope to do the Segway tour - Love to try one, and seeing World Showcase with so few people would be GREAT! :)

DonaldDuck.. could you please tell us all about the Yuletide tour? Where/when etc? thanks so much.
Keys Tour... We did this a few years ago and loved it. Rather than spoiling MK by seeing backstage and hearing all the little details, it just increased my enjoyment of the parks. Intend to do it again sometime after I've done some other tours.

The Yuletide Fantasy Tour you go to MGM, Epcot World Showcase, and MK. When you go to World Showcase the park isn't open yet. At each park the guide tells you about the Christmas decorations. The main trees for each park are talked about. There is also a poinsetta for every Disney employee. My DH guess the correct number of poinsettias which was 55,000 when we took the tour. On the tour you go to The Wilderness Lodge to look at their Christmas decorations. Then you get to go to the warehouse where all the Christmas stuff is stored. And it is pretty big with rows of shelves stacked with Christmas stuff. At the end of the tour each person got two ornaments.
DH and I really enjoyed the tour. When we have been to WDW in the past at Christmas time we make a point to go visit all the resorts to see their Christmas decorations.

We have done back stage magic and I loved everything about this tour. We got to go behind the scenes in Epcot, MGM and Magi Kingdom.
This is one of those tours that last all day and includes lunch,. We began in Epcot and drove behind Test Track, and went behind the American Adventure to see how it works. Its interesting to see how the stages are all in sequence and change almost like a belt moving.
We also got to see someone on Body wars. Talk about whip lash watching them go back and forth.
In MGM we got to paint a cell and learn more about animation. Then we went to lunch at mama Melrose for a family style lunch. It was really good food too. A lady joined us, her name was rosy and she was so funny,. She never broke character until we boarded the bus again. Then she became a normal lady and answered any questions we had.
In the magic kingdom we saw the rooms where all the rides are controlled by all those computers. We saw the parade start on and we ended by seeing the end of the parade. (They took us through a back gate to see it) Oh before that we went underground to see the utlidors, costuming and hair and stuff like that.
No questions were off limits on this tour and I think the most interesting thing I learned was everyone from the janitor to the costumed people have to pick up their uniform each day and drop off the old one. Disney does every bit of laundry for them. As someone who hates to do laundry I thought that was great!! Actually I loved seeing so many things and I highly recommend this tour for people who like to know more about the behind the scenes stuff.
I would love to do more tours in the future too.

Thanks Barb and Donald Duck for your great tour descriptions! I've always wanted to do the garden tour at Epcot, but now I have two more to think about. I would love to see the Christmas warehouse and especially the costume department. They must have a hundred people doing the daily ironing at costuming! I can just imagine the scale of some of these places.

I've done the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and Behind the Seeds Tour. Both were excellent and are things I would definately like to do again. I have also done the Walk In Walt's Footsteps Tour at Disneyland which was similar to, but not quite so good as the Keys to the Kingdom (no backstage element.) I am DYING to do the Backstage Magic Tour, but no one else in my party ever wants to do it and I never seem to get to go to WDW by myself.

Any suggestions for tours that include the kids?

We did the Keys tour during Christmas and it was fantastic! I would recommend bringing behind-the-scenes questions as the CM will try to answer all your questions (either onstage or off) if they can.
Sheryl, there is also a MK tour that is sort of like a interactive treasure hunt for the family called: Family Magic Tour!

Thanks Barb and DD for the detailed descriptions. Having done the keys tour, I would highly recommend jotting down question that may pass thru your mind, before you do a tour. Great questions really enhance the enjoyment of the tours. It was fun hearing all about the celebs that the tour guide had.
