I've been searching for a decent "reasonable" rental car for this coming week while we do an "impulse" trip to WDW. Since we didn't have much lead time all the quotes I've been getting for a week, including the discounts (pull all the wonderful taxes and fees) was well in the $350 range if not higher.. Talk about sticker shock. I finally found a "somewhat" better rate using the code/link from wdwinfo.com site w/Dollar. Well, today I got an email from Orbitz for airtravel for our area. And then it had quotes for car rentals in the $129week range for Budget.. ok I know Budget isn't on-site at the airport, and also that we're traveling at the end part of Pres. Weekend (higher holiday rates) so I wasn't expecting the link to work .. expected to get the "sorry all offers aren't applicable for your times.. well it took. A car w/fees etc. would only be $169 for our stay. Well, I've never used Orbitz so I'm curious, has anyone here used them, and B) since you need to give your CC# is it pre-paid and non-refundable. If it's not, I'm going with them... if it's like Priceline then I guess I'll just stick w/Dollar since Mike's company's going to be picking up the tab (though we don't like to abuse the company.. that way we don't ask ?? about him staying at CBR instead of Caribe <though we're still saving them $70 a night w/codes>)
