Do you make Valentine Treats?

Do you make any special Valentine treats? I'd love to get some more ideas...

I love making chocolate dipped strawberries... easy to make, and healthy for you too! :D

When my kids were growing up I made valentines cookies or cakes. Seems like more recently I buy stuff instead. (My kids are now grown and I work)

Yes, I generally make treats but nothing extra-special. I usually make brownies and cut them out in the shape of hearts or cupcakes or something like that. It's just DH and me, but then I usually make some and take them out to my mom and dad. I haven't done anything yet this year, but I hope to make something tonight and take them to my parents at church tomorrow.

I'd love to see what other people do. Chocolate covered strawberries sound great. What kind of chocolate do you use? :D

I made heart shaped cookies this morning (cut out) and frosted them with red frosting for my valentines. DD#3 is home we will go to visit DD#1 at college tomorrow (actually were going so DH can fix her car), and DS is home , actually DH is home also until Thursday then he leaves for Singapore. So everyon except DD#2 will have some. I may throw some in the freezer for her.

Not me Belle, I'm the shoppeer of the family. My skinny little sister is the baker in our family :roll: . So we do a trade off, I shop for bargains and she does all the baking. In fact, we enjoyed the cookies she made us all week. :eat:

The chocolate I use is usually found in the produce dept. It comes in a round cardboard like tub and you microwave it for a couple mins and stir, then dip the berries in! Delicious!!
This year I made Rice Krispie treats using the Holiday Rice Krispies(red and regular color!) and I always use twice as much marshmellows so they don't last very long around here!

Extra marshmellows in the krispie treats - I';ll have to remember that one! Sounds delic :D

I use Ghirardelli candy melt chocolate (milk and white). I like the layered effects, half & half and also making "tuxedo" strawberries. I really Looooove making what everyone calls "foo-foo" desserts :lol: But guess who gets to bring dessert to every function? I Also make striped brownies - double fudge brownies with different flavor/color frosting in 2 inch stripes so everyone gets one they like :roll:
