The "Ball" is all alone in her glory once again as the wand is now gone.


Update: July 25, 2007
Early this evening, Matthew ,Nicholas and I were sitting over in the Magic Kingdom eating our Dole Whips :razz: and made a point to drive by EPCOT to see the progress on the wand removal. The hand is still there and the stars are still on the top of Spaceship Earth. Looks kind of silly now. I was driving so I didn't take any pics. Just thought I would mention the progress. We have had lightening and lots of it every day the last week or more-really slowing down the removal.



We were over at the Wonders Parking lot this morning. The hand and the wand are still up, but the word Epcot is down as is a few stars. (Well the E is still there)
I will post a picture of the progress when I get back home tonight. :)

Ohh... would love to see some photos of the progress. Kinda sad...took me so long to get used to it and now they take it down!! LOL

The E is now down also, we saw that from the Boardwalk Friday night. I'll see if any of our pictures came out.

Oh man, that stinks! I love the hand and the wand. I will be sad to see it go.

I always thought they should make that into a bungee jumping tower. I guess none of my emails got through. ;-)

Sorry guys this is all I have. I noticed Friday night that the E was also down, but my picture from the Boardwalk at night did not come out. I'm going to miss that Epcot and hand.

I have to check my pictures, but I think the E is still there. It could be that it's attached more securely to the main structure while the others parts are easier to remove.

As of 30 minutes ago, the E is still there. The whole area is blocked off and the crane is just parked looking perty, not. :blink: As soon as Ashley and Kimberly come in, I will ask her to add a picture that we took around 3:30ish this afternoon (Mon 7/16)

Hey Robin, What time were you over there???
I came over about 3:15 ish with all the kids except Christopher. We only did Soarin', Ellens and Test Track as it was just too hot and the lines were too long.
Sorry that we didn't see you! It would have been nice to say hello. :)

I was over there about noon but I didn't go into the park. That's from my car window as I was driving through the parking lots. :peri:

By 3pm I was probably in the M&M store at the Florida Mall.

Hmm, I wonder why we could not see the E from the Boardwalk on Friday night. I could have sworn it was not there.

Because from the Boardwalk you'd be viewing the sign from the other side!

This is from the parking lot side, so the E is by the wand. You can see the other side has a larger section that is empty. That would be the E from the park (or Boardwalk) side.

I was also wondering why you would have parked so far away and not over on the far left side ;) up front

The M&M store has some of the cutiest stuff though! My friend bought every color M&M that does NOT come in the bag. From Teal blue to Fushia.

As for the parking lot...why it was for the same reason you found yourself in the Wonder parking lot the other day. ;)

My favorite word again! SALSA!!!!! :yahoo: Although I have to say this one is kind of a bust. Nothing fantastabulous that I had to have. I bought a couple of IZOD polos for the boys, Ashley found a few things (of course) and I am muraling Nicholas' room in the Pirates theme so I bought a few Pirate items for the shelves above the boat bed.

I hope to get the room done before the kid starts college ;)

I couldn't resist the Lifeguard Mickey lamp, it was too cute. I'd seen it in the outlets before but for twice as much. I'm trying not to buy a lot of clothes now, so I just got a few odds and ends. I resisted the brass characters from around the Hub too. They just seem cuter outside. :lol:

I'm not sure how long the sale is or if I can get someone to bring me in again. You need a CM to bring you into the sale. Let me ask my friend if they have another day off coming up and if they're wiling to go again.

ETA: I just found out the sale ends today and my friend is working. :(

Aww bummer. This lamp is also used in the rooms at Paradise Pier Hotel. That's where I've seen it before.

There will be another SALSA sale in a few months. Although the merchandise is usually not the same, but ya never know!
Robin, let me know whenever you want to go to the next one. I usually go a few times during the sale as they are constantly adding new stuff. :blink:

I don't know when they have the sale, as it's only announced to CM's. This time someone I knew wanted to go, and brought me in with her. I don't believe it's open to the public.

Robin is correct. It is not open to the public. I force my son or my future DIL to go over with me to look around. It is usually announced a couple of months before hand. The savings average 70% sometimes more.
