Did anyone see this? I'm curious about your opinions.

I must say I was quite a bit disappointed after hearing so much hype about it. I'm not sure if it was a case of anticipating too much, or that I just really didn't care for it.

I did enjoy the "life/scenes" of Tokyo, but I thought the film itself was kinda boring. Seemed like one of those real artsy films that I don't like, and I just know my old film study teacher from High School would of had us watch it.

So did you like it? Did you love it? Did you hate it? Did you think it just so-so? What did you think?

YESSSS! Thank -you! Me, DH, and 1 of our friends went and we totally agree with you. The scenes showing the city and when Bill Murray was filming were the only interesting parts.

My initial reaction was I hated it, but I'm trying to be mature and tell anyone who hasn't seen it yet that it "wasn't my cup of tea" LOL

I think the hype was part of. We waited a long time to see it and had to move to find a theater it was playing in.(OK not the only reason we moved...) But in the end I just didn't care about the characters poor little rich me persona's. It's one week of your life get over it kept running through my mind.

I enjoyed this film when I saw it - which was shortly after it came out. I thought it was and is a sweet movie -- To me that is just what it is a sweet movie - it is not in the same league as the other best films of 2003 - it would make my top 10 but not my top 5 films of the year!

Now I think the hype may have ruined this film for others -- too bad - I do think it is a sweet, gentle film!
