On this fine Monday morning I want you all to fclose your eyes when you finish reading this sentence.

POOF!

Through Disney Magic you are now a talented WDW performer. You can dance, you can sing, you can act, you are very athletic, and you can play just about any musical instrument in the world.

Now you must sign up for three things in WDW that allows you to make use of these talents.

Tell us why you choose what you choose.

Here are some, but not all, of the opportunities that await you:

You can be any character in any theme park
You can perform in front of the castle.
You can perform in any MK parade
You can perform at one of the MVMCP shows
You can play the piano at Casey's Corner
You can be a Dapper Dan
You can be one of the Voices of Liberty
You can be one of the singers or musicians at the Candlelight Processional
You can be the mime in France or any of the performers in WS
You can be Streetmosphere
You can appear in Disney's Playhouse
You can perform in B&TB
You can perform in the Indy Stunt Spectacular
You can perform in TGMR
You can be in the Stars in Motorcars Parade
You can be in Fantasmic
You can perform in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid
You can perform in the Festival of the Lion King
You can perform in Tarzan Rocks!
You can perform in La Nouba

So which three are your choices and why?

99% of the time the author of such a new post already has in mind what he/she would say when posed such a question.

Here are my answers:

First and foremost I'd want to be a member of the Voices of Liberty. Singing songs of Americana and also singing at the Candlelight Processional would be awesome.

Secondly, I think I would enjoy being in one of the MK parades. I think I would get a big thrill walking over to a youngster and shaking his or her hand and seeing the smile on their faces.

Finally I think I would like to be one of the performers in Fantasmic! I think that show builds excitement and it would be cool to one of the characters on the boat at the end of the show!

Your turn.

First, I would be in La Nouba. I would love to play on the trampoline at the end. The trapese stuff looks like a lot of fun too.

Second, I would be in a parade that has stilt walkers. I have always wanted to do that. Actually, I would be in Festival of the Lion King, b/c they get to dance and mess with the crowd

Third, I would be in the Indiana Jones stunt show. It would be cool swinging around the set and falling from ladders and buildings. It would also be fun to pretend to get run over by that ball in the begining

Good thread Mike!

Den, great avatar!

I would be Jane during the day, swinging on Tarzan's vine. :eyelove:

At night, I would do improv at the Comedy Warehouse.

Now, isn't this a fun fantasy you got started, Mike? :D

And Auntie, you cracked me up!
Let's see; I think I would want to be one of the 'suits' but I want to have the authority to make the things happen that make guests happy! Making dreams happen would be soooooo cool.

Second, one of the characters in Spectromagic. Greeting the crowd every night.

Singing in the Candlelight Processional would be a kick too.

Great thread Mike, thanks for letting my mind wander for a bit.

 This is so far from my actual talents that I've never considered any of these things! And the thought of performing really makes me nervous. But...

I would love to be in Festival of the Lion King! I could really enjoy any of the animal costumes.

Maybe one of the Voices of Liberty--they have such a lovely sound. They caroled during MVMCP and that was the most beautiful of all!

Could I be a candy artist like the woman from Japan? I'm sure they could support two!

Oh! Or a Jammitor! Joking and pounding, I could do that!

I would first be a Dapper Dan, then in any MK parade, then Voices of Liberty because I would like to be in contact with the people on the street, and be able to talk ect. Voices of Liberty much for the same reasons as Mike- I'm proud to be an American and would love to sing that music.

The thing I'd most like ot be is Ariel swimming (syncronized swimming) where I could talk to people -but that wasn't a choice!!

:tink: 1.) I want to be Tinkerbell and fly out of the castle every night! I want this job because a.) you'd get to see what's up in those spires that no one else gets to see b.) the cool light up outfit c.) you can fly, you can fly, you can fly! d.) thousands of people every night wait around just to see you and then gasp in delight as you fly by!

2.) I'd want to be Belle dancing with the Beast on the barge in Fantasmic. Why? That is the most fabulous dress I have ever seen! I want to wear that dress so bad! An added bonus is dancing with the Beast would make me look really petitein comparison.

3.) A face character - either Cruella or the Evil Queen (who I have only seen once but who was phenomenal in her role). Why? These characters don't have to get up early to do breakfast with the little ones, I love to be nasty  and of course - the really cool costumes! (I wouldn't mind being Mary Poppins but she does have to get up and dine with the early risers of which I am NOT one) :minnie:

Obviously Tink and Belle would be my first choices :girlears:

Great question Mike -- Great responses!

My first choice (and we know this is fantasy) would be to be Mickey greeting at the gate at Disneyland

My second choice would to be part of the Jazz Band that plays at New Orleans Square at Disneyland

My third choice would be to be Mickey in Fantasmic at on either coast!

Shocked - I know!

My first choice: To be Ariel in Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I love the "ahaha ahaha ahhahahahahaha" song. And, I sound great doing it!

My second choice: To be the chic in Indiana Jones. Oh to be close to Indy! :eyelove: He sure can crack a whip!

My third choice: One of the singers in Festival of the Lion King. They are just amazingly talented and it brings back my first love. MUSIC!

GREAT thread!

First - I want to be an imagineer putting together new attractions for the guests to enjoy! Building Animatronics, working with computers, music - getting it all JUST right! And NO PRE-FAB attractions!

Second - I'm too tall for the main mouse, so I think I'd have more fun with being Tigger or Goofy. And a villain would be fun on occasion.

Third - Official ride inspector - working a different park daily. Test all the rides at MK on Monday morning, Epcot on Tuesday, ... And make sure they are all in Disney PERFECT condition!

Oh - and Moley:
Not that your answer SUPRISED me, but

Great Thread!

Wow, you got me thinking :!:

My first choice would definately be one of those roller skating monkeys in Tarzan Rocks. I have always told my kids how much fun that looks! :partytime:

Secondly, I think performing in front of the castle would be a real thrill :dazzle: (Being an ex-dancer performer, this would be a dream)

Thirdly, I would love to be anyone in the parades that could go up and interact with the people. There is nothing more gratifying than making another smile and touch their hearts, :happytears:

What a wonderful dream!

Id like to be in Voices of Liberty, American Vybe, and play the little mermaid in the show!!!

Actually, if I lived in Florida, I would certainly be auditioning for the first two!!!!

I so love singing.. its really my life!!

It's interesting as to how many responses related to music and singing.

A few years back when I started hearing rumblings about Mickey's Philharmagic I was hoping that the attraction would feature the most popular songs from the latest movies and that the attraction would serve as a vehicle for a sing-a-long with the audience.

Along those lines at the MVMCP it would be pretty cool to have one of the shows involve the guests to sing some Christmas Carols.

I always felt that this kind of an attraction, a guest sing-a-long attraction, was missing at WDW and thought that the best suited theme park for such an attraction would be MGM/Studios.

You all are too funny!! I can't get the visual of Moley swinging from the vine . . . :happytears:

Gosh that is a HARD question! The first thing that came to mind was being in the Indiana Jones stunt spectactular - though if I had to share with LimeGreen, I may be in for some bruising. ;)

I would love to be Mary Poppins. I am always singing songs from the movie and talking like her - in fact I'm practically perfect in everyway! :curtsy:

I have actually been thinking about this question before I answered because it is such a great one!

1. An animator! To see the joy of a finished product would be fantabulous!

2. Cinderella - To be so adored and loved by young and old

3. An imagineer - designing and creating new rides for the masses.

Yeah I have to jump up and down and cheer - we leave tomorrow evening for the mouse

Happy and safe travels BriarRose! Have a wonderful time!

Even if we can't pick our 3 favorite WDW jobs, visiting there is nothing to sneeze at!

Jealously waving goodbye to Briar Rose!

I don't know if I totally understood Mike's question--if it was for our 3 dream jobs at WDW, my answer wouldn't include ANY performing even if I had the talent! I would be 1. Curator at AK (the curator is the boss of the keepers and gets to make the decisions about which animals to exhibit, etc.), 2. Real-time Software Imagineer (Instead of writing the code that makes airplanes fly, I'd LOVE to write the code that makes the attractions live), 3. Horticulturist, particularly one involved in designing the gardens.
